Yep, although from what I've heard it was against incredibly tough opposition(one of them either was an Ulster champion or won the Ulster title not long after).

In recent years id say Zack padilla he was one of the best JW for a while and couldnt get a big fight, he was the WBO champ but couldnt get a fight with the Tszyus,Chavez and other guys his buzz saw attack made a lot of fighters turn the other way. I saw him and Mosley spar back in the days and he would fight him on even terms. Although unfortunatly he ende Zacks career after suffering a blood clot in his brain in sparring. This guy also had an amazing chin. He was being mentioned for a fight with Pernell whittaker but it never went thru. Not saying he was as great as Pernell but his style would have given Whittaker trouble, and if Pernell wasnt 100% i think he could have pulled off the upset. He had broken all the Compupunch stat records at the time im not sure if they still stand.

Also Jose Luis Lopez no one wanted to risk a fight with the steel chined Bomber. Only Quartey did and he almost got stopped. The fight was ruled a draw,that even scared more people off. I remember Oscar saying that Lopez would be his most dangerous opponent at the time. Unfortunatly he became unintrested in boxing, and would rather smoke weed,surf,and kick it with the Senoritas according to some one on his team.

 

It's imprinted on the minds of those who saw it.
