    And there it is.

If Berto tightens up, he wins IMO.

I had that problem for eons.

Manassa helped me out: Rank them by how good they were in THEIR ERA.

What I do is then calculate how high they are by how strong I consider their era to be. Hence why I have Ali above Joe Louis in my Heavyweight rankings.

Greb is #1 or #2 or #3 or #4 and if someone puts him at #4 I feel grumpy about it.

But not as durable by the looks of it. I doubt he'd be able to ship the shots that Cotto did and retain his composure (which Miguel managed to do)

That was a competitive fight, and whilst it's odd that Shane wasn't able to get to Cotto like others later did, I think it's because he was surprised he had a Plan B.

I think Shane is the one who has learned his lesson. Don't get baffled if someone who is supposedly one dimensional starts boxing.

if Shane starts fast like he did against Marg, look for it to be early doors. I've seen nothing from Berto to suggest he will become anywhere near tight enough to hang in the trenches with someone like Shane.

Have I covered it all? Stylistically I mean?

I just think he is a must for top5 anarci. The world will never see a record like Harry Greb's again.

I used to do that when i was younger I had all those guys on top like many of you do. I just saw more footage thru the years and it turned me off,my pops knows boxing too and he agreed with me. I think ill do a pre 30s list since i think after that fighters evolved.

I think what Manny has done is pretty amazing, not talking about records just the weight jump from 106 to 145

I agree that fighters evolved, but as I started making certain exceptions I found it hard to keep up and started ranking as I do know.

    WHO DID THEY BEAT?
    WHEN DID THEY BEAT THEM?
    HOW DID THEY BEAT THEM?

That's how I determine a quality win. More of those and that proves a quality fighter.

Hence, Greb: Top 3 for me. I have it 1-Robinson 2-Armstrong 3-Greb though all three are interchangeable.

Charles at 4, Duran at 5.

Oh i agree with you on everyting you said about how the fight with Shane And Margarito went.Shane is all wrong for Margo and always will be. We wont see that fight again, and you know the funny thing i was arguing with my uncle about that the night of the fight, he called it everything he said on why shane would win came true. I looked dumb after stating my reasons as too why Margo would pull it out:lol: He put a lot of money on Mosley and i was telling him to kiss the money good buy, his return was very good:yep

I didnt get you second post " I did have some guys above him that wouldnt be above him not though":huh Id like to see your list did you ever make a thread?

I had a list that went up to 101 but it wasn't very good.

That should have read "i did have sme guys above him that wouldn't be above him NOW though" rather than NOT though.

I think it boils down to Dre being able to stay safe enough to out-box Mosley. I think this will come down to defence rather than durability. If he gets hit as much as he has been he'll go. Sugar is a wearing puncher. But the job is there to be done, and Ward must recognise what needs to be done - this being the case I ere on the side of the younger fighter in what I guess would be a mild shock.
