I dont give a **** about his popularity in Thailand. I KNOW he is a superstar there.

You claimed before that Khaosai Galaxy paved the way for his fellow countryman to be recognised internationally and thats why he should be included in the HOF. I dont believe this has happened and I really dont think you do either.

Now you are saying he deserves it because he is popular in his own country? :huh

If thats the criteria then Ive totally given up on the HOF.

Barry has done brilliant work for British TV in covering Boxing over the last 15-20 years. That in addition to his good run at Featherweight is why I don't have to much problem him being in the Hall of Fame. He's the only guy over here who knows what he's talking about.

That's true. To rate him on his knockdown of Ali is misleading. Anyone can be knocked down at a given moment :good

He was a beast of a Jb he would have stopped those guys you mentioned. Only an Iron Chinned speed demon like Tapia would have possibly beat him. Or a slick guy like Mark Johnson even then im not sure. Roman was slick but wouldnt be able to handle Galaxys power. Galaxy was like a Lightweight fighting JBs. He also knocked out Pical who was a champ at the time.

Probably not but some say that Norton and Johansson don't belong either.

Norton was proclaimed WBC HW champ when L. Spinks fought a rematch with Ali instead of Norton... but Norton went 0-3 in HW World Title fights. With that said, some feel that he should have went 4-0 vs. Ali and Holmes though (he actually went 1-3). He also beat J. Quarry and J. Young among others.

Johansson beat Patterson 1 out of 3 (all brutal fights ending in KO). He beat Henry Cooper (KO5), Eddie Machen (KO1), and Brian London (W12) among others. He went 26-2 (17) overall and 1-2 (1) in HW World title fights (all vs. Patterson).

Sir Henry Cooper does not belong IMO. Cooper was very inconsitent. He could bang and he had heart but he would bleed if you looked at him mean. Beating Joe Erskine 3 out of 5 doesn't mean much to me or anybody else who isn't from the UK. Erskine did beat Pastrano and Chuvalo but that was about it. Johansson stopped Erskine in 13 BTW.

Cooper dropped Ali (Clay at the time) in the 4th round... we all know this story right? Should have been a KO win for Cooper but would it have really changed much? Cooper went on to beat Brian London for the 3rd time in his next fight but he lost the next one... L10 Roger "Who?" Risher.

Prior to the first fight with Ali, Cooper also had wins over Zora Folley (W10), Roy Harris (W10), and a few other notables. He lost the rematch with Folley (LKOby2).

Cooper got a rematch with Ali but was stopped in 6. In his next fight he was dropped 3 times and stopped in the 4th round by Patterson. After the Patterson fight he went 7-1 (4) losing his last pro fight to Joe Bugner (L15). During this stretch he beat K. Mildenberger (WDQ8) and Jack Bodell for the 2nd time.

He retired with a record of 40-14-1 (27), he was stopped 8 times. He went 0-1 in HW World title fights (the rematch with Ali). No HOF IMO.

Pical was a paper champ who got a shot at a newly developed title and by reports benefited from some homecooking throughout his career. Thats not even his best win.

Thats pure speculation on your part that he beats those guys anarci...Fact is it didnt happen. And unless the HOF is letting guys in on speculation and their popularity in their homeland I dont think he deserves a spot.

He looked great wrecking mediocre opposition..hardly the makings of a HOF fighter because if it was you would have about 1000 more fighters in there already...and Tyrone Brunson knocking at the door.

How about Rod Sequenan and Miguel Arrozal getting title shots when they had never really beat any one world class? What about Morris East he won the title but he was unknown and hadnt beat anybody before that.

But Overall you are right Manny has opened the doors for more phillipinos i just wanted to throw out some guys that did get shots without being legit contenders.

:nono:nono:nono:nono No way! I dont think Mcguigan should be in, and i forgot about Ingo hes below Mcguigan he shouldnt be in either. Im not sure about Norton either but ill give him a pass just barely. Cokes barely gets in too. No you got my criteria mixed up i just think more highly of Galaxy. Although I do agree that his level of Comp should have been better.

In terms of McGuigan, he was a good boxer, but he's also done a lot for the sport outside of the ring.
