In the past Williams and his team talked about knocking Pavlik out, beating Bute, and sending Hopkins into retirement. Now they claim PW is just a welterweight, and they are right. PW is the #3 or #4 welterweight. He has no title of any kind, and his drawing power is questionable. If he really and truly wants to prove himself, he should shut the **** up, and take the customary 70/30 purse split, and consider whatever they give him out of the ancillary markets a gift.

Williams has a lot more to learn in a rematch than Martinez. I am very confident that he can beat Martinez a lot easier the next time out.


Pav, on the other hand, would get het humiliated by Martinez, probably much like the BHop fight. Style is all wrong. At the end of the fight, you'll have Martinez lecturing Pav and his corner about how to fight more like Argetinian boxers.

 

Well, just to inject some reality into the conversation, any word on what weight Williams/Martinez II would happen at? 154? I don't see any reason for them to do 160 again.
