    1. He doesn't have to. Yes, I know...It sounds simple, but good business decisions usually are. The fact is that Haye is one of the best boxing businessmen we have seen in quite some time. He is funny, entertaining, and he has quickly built an audience outside of the UK. Ironically, he has used the Klitschkos to do this and has played them like a grand piano. Not that they have anything to be embarassed by. But he has somehow emerged from two cancelled fights not only unsullied, but amazingly, more popular than ever.

    2. He has a full docket of fights. Not only does he have to fight a mandatory against Ruiz and a probable rematch against Valuev, but Chagaev and Meehan are also waiting in the wings. Not to mention an inevitable match up with a local favorite, ie, a top British heavyweight of the nonce....whomever that might be. That means it'll be at least 2 years before the public starts getting antsy and demands a Klitschko fight.

    3. And probably most importantly, he has an ironclad excuse, which his manager announced just days after he won his belt. That is, he says he will never fight a Klitschko for less than an even split. Since the Klitschkos will likely never agree to this, the fight will probably never happen. It really is that simple. :bbb

Haye is a fairly rich bloke, but the Klitschko fights will more than set him up for life, and beating both brothers would likely get him a HoF spot and probably - rightly or wrongly - put him in the mix in the great heavyweights argument. And I think he believes that he will beat the Klitschkos.

I reckon he'll fight them (which means that he'll have won all the marbles at two weights, bar the IBF at cruiser should he beat them) and should he win, finish off against Solis and perhaps Boystov if the hype around him continues.

Fantastic argument. You really should be in politics with a keen polemical mind like that.

But you are wrong, wrong and wrong.

At the moment no one knows for sure, but if you look at every news souce, GBP, Haye, Klits, SkySports....they are all reporting that Haye will fight one of the Klits in 2010 after Ruiz.

You stating like its a FACT that Haye will never fight a Klit....wheres the source that states that FACT?

I actually don't disagree with this. I'll also throw on top of it that the Klits themselves are pretty well tied up for the next 6 - 8 months as well. I do think Haye will fight one or both of them eventually, but it will be a while before he does so, and the brothers probably will have started to fade a bit by then.

Also, considering where Haye's beard is at, I wouldn't be shocked if he gets upset before he ever has the chance to face a Klitschko. Prime Meehan, for example, seems like a nightmare matchup for Haye, stylistically (not that I think he has enough left in the tank to upset Haye now). Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Adamek-Haye gets made first, and that would be pretty close to an even money fight.

Haye only wants to fight the best and has always had that attitude. He has displayed these attributes time and time again including winning his first world belts abroad. He also faught the dangerous Macrenelli when he had already stated he was done at cruiser!

These are nothng arguements to me as I am willing to bet you that he fights a Klitchko within the next 18 months. And frankly I will be very supprised if the Vitali fight doesn't happen in 2010.

I didn't state it as if it were a fact, friend. It is an opinion. And in my opinion it is a well-reasoned one. If I am wrong, fine. But from everything I have seen there is little chance that this fight will happen in the near future. First, you are wrong about him fighting a Klitschko after Ruiz. He has a mandatory defense against Valuev and the only way he gets out of that is if Valuev chooses not to take advantage of the rematch clause, which states that he must give Valuev a rematch within a year of their first fight. That means he'll have to fight Valuev again in about 7 or 8 months, i.e, after Ruiz.

Let me take a moment to clarify that I am not saying that Haye is necessarily dodging the Klitschkos. From the moment I posted this, Haye fans have been responding with incredibly crude, stupid and preciptious statements based, presumably on the idea that I am attacking Haye. I am not. I simply think that he won't fight a Klitschko because it is too risky to do so at this point. Also, Wlad is tied up for at least a year and Vitali appears to be on the verge of retirement, if his last fight was any indication.

Not true at all. American T.V. are extremely interested in Haye. Don King has barely shut up about him!
