No. Lost too many times to too many average fighters. Also, never beat a top ranked world class heavyweight.

The IBHOF is little more than the WWF HOF at this point. (Hell, the WWF HOF does not have Sammartino, without whom the organization might well not exist today. Instead, they induct jobbers like Johnny Rodz and Koko B. Ware, and celebrity jokes like Pete Rose and Refrigerator Perry. Then again, the IBHOF has LeRoy Niedless. If they were going to induct painters, why not start with George Bellows?) Among writers, Grantland Rice is not included. Does he belong?

It's really too bad. For their inaugural 1990 induction, the IBHOF collected a sterling list of attendees to place an impressive stamp of approval on their founding, many who have since passed on. Now it's become like the R & R HOF in Cleveland, hardly an exclusive club.

More than enough boxing tradition exists in the U.K. and Commonwealth for them to have their own separate HOF, where the likes of Cooper would more fully deserve center stage.

As a museum, the hall in Canastota has accumulated an impressive assortment of artifacts, particularly castings of fists of ATGs who passed on several decades ago. One of my visits there came shortly after one of Bowe's wins over Holyfield, and Riddick's hand wraps from that match were on display at the entrance. A newly minted alternative HOF would be very hard pressed to compete credibly with that.

At staples center in LA they have a sports memorabillia shop . One of the items are Delahoyas Handwraps when he fought Vargas which are going for 2000$ I think it might be Vargas it could be Mosley.

contribution to the growth of the sport should also be a criteria. That is why gatti should get in the HOF too.

You must be an alias. Because if you'd seen that fight or had any idea of the build-up you'd know that wasn't true???!?!?

This is possibly the worst post I have ever seen on ESB. Either that or you've had a look on Boxrec and assumed Galaxy was sparked in the first:lol:

    Explain yourself, you ****in ******:deal

The Hall of Fame is on par with the worth of all those meaningless "knightings" that the British Empire tosses around..it's been devalued..which is what you get when politics corrupts anything.

espinosa was a heavy underdog just as pacquiao against sasakul.

what happened? both demolished thai legends in their own backyard and they were never the same

It is a Hall of Fame, not a Hall of Greatness...

Sir 'enry was a demi-god in this country though to the late 80s. I believe he was known in Europe and if his fame gets him known by a few in the States, Cooper is an obvious choice for the Hall of Fame IMO.
