everyone has given their view on overrates champs, but who would you regard as the most underrated?

they can be underrated for many reasons, maybe their reign was cut short, maybe they had personal issues, maybe they got badly managed...

but which champ, more tha any other, do you feel has never received his due credit?

i think it's, lamont brewster. his prime lasted about a year, but in that year he was a monster. plus i felt he deserved the nod against liakhovic. but that fight took it out of him. a close contender is vargas. again his prime lasted about a year before he got thrown into some huge fights he wasnt ready for.

Arthur Abraham hands down. The guy is 31-0 with 25 KOs in the 00s and never even gets a mention for the P4P rankings.

good call, i'd have favoured him against williams, sturm and pavlik. but due to bad management the fights never came off. however he does now have a chance to set the record straight.

On a more serious note...I know wasnt champ or anything but IMO Emanuel Augustus could have been a good champ if he only got his **** together...On any given night, he could\would beat a highly regarded fighter and on some other nights he would not show up...I think its due to him bad management and bad training habits keeping him from being a HOF caliber type of fighter!

He has only just won the title??? Wonjongkam is streets ahead in that division.

Calderon is the most underated fighter of the 00's almost 20 title fights , and when he moves up to Flyweight he rules there too!!

Eh? Williams wasn't in the same division, Sturm blatantly ducked Abraham and Arum ducked him on behalf of Pavlik.

Same could probably have been said for Judah...but I guess a fighter's discipline can make or break them in the ring.

I believe Miguel Cotto wins this.....even though he's come up short against Pacquiao and Margarito, he's done what guys like Dela Hoya and Mosely have done before him....and thats taking on all comers and consistantly fighting the best. Boxng needs more warriors like him and Paul Williams. Less premadonnas like Mayrunner.

nice shout out for el feroz. he was an incredible talent that well could have dominated 154 for YEARS had he not been put in there with ****ing monsters. seriously, what were they thinking?? prime winky, prime quartey, prime trinidad, near prime oscar...he wasn't superman but if he were taken slowly i have every faith he'd have been a hall of famer. especially after he beat trinidad :hey
