That number is to get the case into federal court. This ain't in small claims for a reason ya know.

You can say a fighter won't issue an apology. That's just dandy, he'd rather make up lies, then make demands based on those lies, then drag an innocent man's image through the mud, then not apologize for the charade, and instead go through an expensive lawsuit and throw away a bigarse fight.

    Makes perfect sense.

Make up what lies? How do we know PAcquiaos not on steroids? Did he take the tests?

Floyd can fight Shane. A GBP fighter and make nearly as much money. Pacquiao is now most likely frozen from facing an GBP fighters. So I hope he enjoys is bout with the weakest 154lb champ at a sure catchweight, while Floyd and Shane gets to fight for real money.

In terms of PAcquiaos image. How many of the hookers he banged will step forward asking for child support after he becomes president of manila?

Why Commencing A Defamation Action Is Not Aways A Good Idea

While people who are targeted by lies may well be angry enough to file a lawsuit, there are some very good reasons why actions for defamation may not be a good idea.
The publicity that results from a defamation lawsuit can create a greater audience for the false statements than they previously enjoyed. For example, if a newspaper or news show picks up the story of the lawsuit, false accusations that were previously known to only a small number of people may suddenly become known to the entire community, nation, or even to the world. As the media is much more apt to cover a lawsuit than to cover its ultimate resolution, the net effect may be that large numbers of people hear the false allegations, but never learn how the litigation was resolved.

As a result, it is unusual for attorneys to be willing to take defamation cases on a contingent fee basis,

Another significant concern is that, even where the statements made by the defendant are entirely false, it may not be possible for a plaintiff to prove all of the elements of defamation.

In other words, the plaintiff in a defamation action may be required to expend a considerable amount of money to bring the action, may experience significant negative publicity which repeats the false accusations,

While many plaintiffs will be able to successfully prosecute defamation actions, the possible downside should be considered when deciding whether or not such litigation should be attempted.

Otherwise, he would do himself a bigger favor by just taking random testing......instead of letting the accusations run wild in the media, and in court....pretty simple...costing himself money, time, and his reputation...

I know you're an idiot, Danny, but seriously - you can't prove a negative. Floyd and co need to offer some compelling reasons for why Manny is on drugs other than "he's been awfully good moving up in weight"
