I'm not going to compare boxing with UFC/MMA in this instance. They are two very different worlds. But this is sad for boxing. For the two best boxers in the world to not face each other would be the equivalent of calling off the Super Bowl a few days before it's set to take place. It's a slap in the face to fans. It hurts the sport and it loses fans. I've already lost interest in boxing a little more now, since the hype for this fight was so huge and expectations were so high. Why should I continue to support a sport that has such contempt for it's fans at times?
:thumbsup Regardless of mma the fact is that the two best p4p boxers seem reluctant to fight each other. Not even $25-$40million EACH, and the opportunity to achieve bona fide "Greatness" can get FMJ and MP in the ring!! Shameful!!
:good Boinko my friend we the fans of boxing have been treat like mugs on countless occasions by the powers-that-be. In the case of Mayweather-vs-Pacquiao the blame rests firmly at the feet of the two fighters. Let us hope that the next time the two best p4p boxers in the world have an opportunity to fight each other, they are not like these two clowns!! Mayweather and Pacquiao are a joke! They have been professional boxers, fighting at elite level for years, now all of a sudden one guy wants to place his own weigh-in restrictions on his opponent and the other clown wants all sorts of drug tests. And $40million can not persuade them!! Pathetic!!!!
Undoubtedly. Over this and many other subjects i'm sure. Which should come as no surprise to anyone, simply because the bloke is a wanker!!.
No disrespect truebeliever but it is Mayweather and Pacquiao that are making themselves look pathetic, not the UFC. The fact is that the UFC could never make boxers look like "Pussies" because they are two entirely different sports. One could argue that there are many potential "Super-fight" match-ups in mma and in the UFC in particular that have not happened and perhaps should have done. I do agree however that thanks to Mayweather and Pacquiao's pathetic "Stipulations" and "Clauses" both of these guys have embarrassed the sport of boxing.
He is a ***** anyway, he couldnt close a deal to secure the best fighter in the history of MMA, he for one cant laugh at that shambles.
What has this got to do with MMA though? Christ, it's always got to be UFC against Boxing fans hasn't it. Can't just enjoy both for what they are and keep it in the forums where they belong. And seriously, what the **** was with that b&? Would be nice if Mods actually gave a REASON next time.
