The truth is when Floyd was moving up in weight he beat champs at their own weight, Pacman CHANGED THE RULES OF BOXING and created a WW division that maxed out at 145lbs??? :-(

 

I'm NOT singleing out anybody here. It is how boxing works, the fighters with holding the cards stack the deck in their favor as strongly as possible. Pac and Floyd both make demands and impose strict stipulations in fight contracts. All that happened here is Pac did not want to agree to one of Floyds. But Cotto agreed to all of Pacs and apparantly Floyd agreed to Pacs also ($10 million pound penalty)

All fighters make demands.
It depends on the fighters drawing power and marketability if those demands are met.

Alot of demands by top fighters nowadays are unprecedented and outrageous and they still get agreed to. Pac making the WW champ defend at 145 is outrageous and unprecedented. Pac imposing a $10 million per pound penalty is outrageous and unprecedented. Floyd imposing drug test is also unprecedented and at the time outrageous.

The issue here is that Pacman has decided not to agree to Floyds demand.

Try to reason and try to think about what would have happened if Cotto denied the 145lb catchweight and that fight was called off. What would be your reaction and the worlds reaction to that. Would Cotto be a ducker? Would Pac be tring to change boxing and be blamed?

 

Pac has something to hide that's why he doesn't want this fight. He wants to dictate when random drug tests can be performed thus defeating their intended purpose.:deal Pac is hiding something and its obvious and on a National Radio Show the Jim Rome Show he said the same thing.:deal

 

Pac could spin this in his favor and become an advocate for drug free sports. **** it, why not do that? Take the damn tests and then say that he believes in it also and that the more testing the better??? Cha-ching then go cash his $40 million Check!

That isn't good for Team Pac, Rome is a respected voice in the sports world and one that is VERY well known.

Exactly. Just like Floyd pretty much laughed off all of Oscar's demands, stating he signed the contract without even reading it. Glove, ring size, weight, etc.

 

After the National Championship game tonight it was the second thing he talked about. He said this makes Pac look very bad. He said if you're clean why not take the test that both are taking if you have nothing to hide. It's just common sense that most people in this country believe. In the American workplace random drug test are common and people think if you won't take one you're hiding something and are presumed guilty that's the way it works and in this case it's no different.
