Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been quoted saying “Legacy don’t pay the bills.” To that, Floyd, I say you are absolutely right. Real fights with real opponents are what pay the bills. Win or lose, if you fight the best, your bills will be paid. Legacy is just the icing on the cake. But the Pretty Boy’s cake has officially gone flat in the eyes of this fan of the fights. - Brandon Desmond - good
He hasn't been caught doing anything! There are plenty of fighters who have been PROVEN to have cheated - i.e. Mosley. Hell there is footage of Panama Lewis saying "the bottle I mixed" to Aaron Pryor. It doesn't affect their legacies. Nobody gives a ****. It's a big deal now but when the dust settles noone will care.
Not even slightly valid. Presuming you are a normal person, you should actually love and trust your daughters mother. Floyd unsurprisingly should not trust manny pacquiao and vice versa. They are trying to knock each others heads off, or they would be... This is a sport, you should have the best methods of ensuring fairness and excluding cheating available. Current drugs tests in boxing are not the best, nor are they close to the best available. This would be the biggest fight historically for a long time and probably the biggest fight financially ever. Thorough drugs testing is a reasonable request.
Agreed. Make it valid and official for all boxers through the proper channels, not just target 1 boxer at the request of a convicted ex-felon who's baselessly accusing him with no documentable proof. My point was not to offend but give a slight idea to those who choose to look at things from only one perspective. Pac's defiance is not a sign of guilt. He's got about 99% of his country backing him up on his stance. It is even arguable that Pac's refusal is the result of his countrymen's expectations of not being soft, because that trait will not bode for him well come election time.
What a load of sentimental horse****. PED's are pervasive; athletes are beating tests all the time; enough with the Brady Bunch sunshine and kisses fairytale perception of reality; deal with it.
the only one destroying his career is floyd by making this "easy fight" get away by complicating it with his demands. pac has proven himself already and even if he lose to floyd he would still be remembered as a great fighter. meanwhile, floyd left many questions unanswered especially at the higher weights.
he fights the best using ****ing peds..stop being so ****ing blind to this **** already...if pbf said no to this test yall be nuthugging him till the end of his career...freddie ariza and arum know the deal..i feel sorry for pac cuz he probably think that god has given him more strength and its really peds...
Do you realize Manny Pacquiao could retire today and his name would be in the boxing history for ever?? He could also live like a king in his country for the rest of his days.
Okay then this fight can set the precedence...It doesnt single out one person...Floyd will be taking the same test. Great way to clean up the sport starting with the best fighters fighting in the biggest fight the sport has ever seen... What's wrong with that? It doest matter if a...homeless meth addict proposed it...It makes sense. Its better for our sport... You have to attack the problem and not the person proposing a resolution...
