The bigger question is: Will Williams fight Pavlik in the new year?

No sense voting until after Martinez/Williams. That fight is by no means a guaranteed win for PW. In addition Paul's trainer claims they're going back to 147 after Martinez.

Pavlik will dive into another cocktail of booze and pills in order to duck quality competition. He will head line Top Rank PPV's just like Caesar Chavez jr. against tomato cans and hold the MW championship hostage until a guy out of the blue beats the **** out of him to free up the belts. MW division was real hot prior to Pavlik being champ, now... not so much.

Martinez, he's actually a dangerous opponent unlike Pavlik's next one.

Right now it looks like Williams is going to avoid Palvik at all cost. Now that KP is healthy, and the problems with his left hand are history, Goosen says they won't fight KP unless Arum agrees to a 50/50 co-promotion. Arum said no to that 5 months ago. Goosen made that demand a second time because he knew in advance what Arum would say.

Al Haymon is "trying" to get Williams a rematch with Martinez, but he is fully aware that Dibella and Martinez want a Pavlik fight, so there ins't much chance that a rematch will happen. I'm quite sure that is the reason Haymon is making noise about it. Dan Goosen and George Peterson want PW to go back to 147 where he belongs. Williams agrees with their goals.

i don't see anyone at 147 worth his while in time and $$ giving him a shot at the moment, and as long arum and dibella are throwing around pav/martinez then another option for paul is potentially compromised. hopefully this all adds up to pav/williams sometime this year.

it needs to happen out of principle on top of the fact that its the biggest fight at mw since pav/taylor.
