That is because Martinez has been underrated where as Calzaghe is overrated.

I think Martinez is elite and definitly better than Quintana. Martinez was the one who had a short camp.. Hes underated watch and see. You can quote me on that one Booradley

If he's so crap why doesn't Pacquiao challenge him instead of easy pick Foreman?

tha ha nice try, this isn't about you making any wrong prediction, everyone does that.
Martinez "proved" you wrong before the Williams fight, before you made the thread

even if he proves to be a bit over rated now that he is highly rated as radley suggests he may be, the draw to cintron is total BS, he basically beat cintron twice on the same night, you should have youtubed or dloaded that one before you went off

to go further, and this is my whole point, you make these elaborate threads and arguments that have absolutely no spine to them and its tedious

I did not mean to imply that Martinez is not a top hand. I think that with a full camp he would stop Williams at 154, but PWilly was seriously over rated before their fight. The terms over-rated and under-rated are always relative to what people are saying at the moment. Right now a lot of people act like Martinez is the ******* love child of Ali and Robinson. He's not.

I read his record a few weeks ago, some of those fights were quite rediculous. That doesnt mean hes not a really good fighter.

He put a wooping on Cintron and damn near beat Williams.

Most unknown foreign fighters with skill have trouble landing big fights against big name opponents...look at your boxing history.

This is nothing new...the fact that he took Paul Williams to the brink of disaster speaks volumes...the fact that he is a current champion at 154 and can't land a quality fight also speaks volumes.

So what if a fighter from Argentina hasn't been able to reach the big stage until now...is that his fault? What he does from here will ultimately decide whether he's overrated or underrated...

My opinion is that he is as tough as it gets at 154.

Never got an answer from NBA as to why the rematch was being discussed at 160 instead of 154.....

I always thought he was WAYYY overated too. A decent fighter, but his record is all built off bums.
