The failure to make which fights in histry equals the Pac-Floyd dissappointment?

I genuinely can't think of this scenario occurring in recent history. Perhaps Whitaker and Chavez could've fought earlier, perhaps Jones and Hopkins could've re-matched in the early 2000s, but at least those guys were in the ring together at some point. I think this fight not happening is the biggest tragedy in a hell of a long time.

Not in terms of popularity but these two are often regarded as the best at this weight and were both in their prime, Hearns vs McCallum.

What does it matter? It was a fight that popped into my mind that would have probably been a lot more fun to watch anyway, and probably some insight that people on here didnt even know existed. Was Tyson Foreman as signficant in 97 to crown the sports p4P #1 fighter? No, but who cares would have still been a great fight to see as would Tua Mcall which made it pop in my mind.
As I said in an earlier post what fight has ever rivaled this fight in terms of extended controversy?
I know you like to follow me around and critique everything I write, and I take it as a compliment, because I know you're an insecure little kid with a stack of boxing books and DVD's on your desk. I see how you run from every technical discussion or turn it into something personal when your proven wrong, so its enough already.
This is the last time Im going to waste my time acknowledgeing your insults, because I could really give two shits what you or your five other usernames think, so dont waste your time anymore.
This isnt a popularity contest, only a insecure little kid would make it one. If you dont like what I have to say, ignore me, like Ive been, and will, you. Ive done it with your other little buddy or alter ego Addie, and it seems to be working out well. :hi:

Duran-Arguello. Arguello was going to move up after fighting Escalera but then lost to Fernandez and said he wasn't ready yet for Roberto. Duran then moved up and history was lost. FTR, I'd take Duran in 10. another great one I think would have been Duran-Cervantes in 1975, when Cervantes was rated in the top 5. I'm very high on Cervantes. I have his career dvds and all my old Ring, World Boxing, International Boxing, Big Book of Boxing, Boxing Illustrated, rated him very high in this time. He was a very dangerous fighter plying his trade right there a lot of times in Duran's Panama. I think prime time Kid pambele ko's primetime Pryor, but loses by decision to Duran.

These are the reasons that I am admittedly still boiling with rage & frustration... so much so that I must leave this thread now.

Lewis-Bowe - no not P4Pers but its at HW which is more important really

Burley v Robinson/Armstrong/Zale although Burley wasnt quite as established or on a red hot continual run during the time these might have happened. Neither was he a mega star

McCallum-Hearns/Leonard/Hagler - McCallum wasnt a mega star but historically he is arguably the 154lb no1 of all time.

There isnt a Mega Money fight that hasnt happened like this, it was such a natural fight and both fighters should have swallowed their prime, Floyd because he should win anyway even if there are drugs and Pacquaio to show hes a clean athlete and not put a big question mark over his career

Oh how about Curry-Hagler?? That would have been massive. The only way this fight doesnt happen imo is if Pacquaio gets beat by Clottey

I know it's not on the level of the Pac-FMJ debacle, but I have hated that Joltin' Jeff Chandler never got the opportunity to beat Lupe Pintor, and that bothers me (personally) more than this!

As far as historical, I guess maybe pryor-SRL, Foreman-Tyson, Foreman-Holmes, Lewis-Bowe seem as potentially as big of a loss. and 2. many fights have been made a few years after they could have, and since both guys are still potentially active a delayed meeting is not outside the realm of possibility! Leonard-Hagler comes to mind.

How about SRR v Archie Moore? If SRR had beaten Maxim they surely would have fought, two top 10 p4pers of all time

They discussed it after Moore had beat Maxim and was LHW Champ, Moore wanted 50% of the purse and Robinson was offering far less, Moore walked out on talks
