you're wrong. mayweather is superior to mosley , berto and bradley at this point. you're p4p ranking are based on the success you have had against the best fighters in your era. pacquiao is the best adversary in mayweather's era and mayweather is the best adversary in pacquiao's era.

it will hurt floyd a lot more, his legacy will be that he run from a smaller man. Manny on the other hand has fought some Featherweight greats , in their primes , and won. simple. He will be remembered well. As the greatest asian boxer ever , floyd will be remembered as a poor mans ray leonard.

your p4p ranking is based on the fights you've fought in the ring, not the ones you didn't.

thats why you have to fight the best in your era. if ali didnt fight the likes of Frazier and Foreman, do you think he would rate as high as he does?

It will hurt Floyd more than Manny. Floyd has not fought any prime great fighters. Oscar was diminished. Manny can fight Mosley. Believe me. Manny doesn't need Floyd. Floyd needs Manny. Floyd has spend his whole career fighting the ok guys in divisions and not the really elite guys. Floyd's resume is lacking.

No doubt, you have to prove yourself against the best if you want to improve your legacy. What I'm saying is that it won't move backwards if they don't fight each other.

you can debate about who it will hurt more but it will do damage to both men. alot of people are rating pac very high in in terms of all-time p4p ranking. some are just nuthggers but reagrdless, they hold pac in high regard in terms of history. so that being said, how can you rate say top 10 p4p all-time and never fight the best fighter other that yourself in your own era. you gotta earn you place in history.

it hurts in the sense that he wont rank as high as he could. for example, right now, alot of people rank pac top 20 p4p all-time. should he be, depends on how you rate fighters but to get up there, you have to fight the best guy in your era, and the guy would be mayweather. same goes for mayweather

It only hurts Mayweather, because Manny will be just another top boxer that he hasn't fought.

For Manny it would just have been icing on his resume. There are questions now about Manny, however unfounded.

There are many great fighters in each era. Many roads lead to greatness. Pac is top20 wether he beats Floyd or not. He could maybe go up higher if he beats Floyd, or lower if Floyd handles him. But if they don't fight then there's no reason for that to change.
