he also would have stopped Sexton if it wasnt for an allegedly bent ref!

Rogie did that himself, he should have just kept punching, no good asking for the ref to stop it.

Yes Rogie let him off the hook when Sexton was cheating but in case you forgot Rogan was piling forward in an attempt to stop Sexton when the fight was stopped.

It's one of the most outrageousrounds of boxing that I have witnessed.

p.s. for the record not one journalist has had the balls to challenge Sextons actions in the 8th round of Sexton-Rogan I

Sam should have finished Rogie in the previous round prior to the stoppage in the 1st fight anyway, but people like to forget that

Rogan would have beaten Sexton if Sexton had not been the better fighter in both fights and done the most damage in both fights and been a far tougher man in both fights.

you've said that before but comparing the trouble that Rogan was in to the trouble that Sexton was in in the 8th round is like comparing craie et fromage!

Its Rogans fault he didn't win the first fight, there was no cheating just gamesmanship (yes, I know its a fine line) when Sexton spat his gumshield out to buy some time when hurt.

At the time of stoppage Rogan was going forward but looked absolutely shattered and the eye was shocking. It didn't look to me like he was likely to score a stoppage.

very true, but rogan was still one hard punch away from the canvas whatever way you look at it and sexton paused for the 5 seconds he had to deliver it. that said sexton was a jab away from the canvas but it shouldnt have got to that point:think

so its gamesmanship when your opponent lets you recover when you drop your hans and while he stops fighting to let you recover from losing your mouthpiece the slimey **** hits him , that my freind is not gamesmanship it is cheating and cowardice of the highest order

sexton is the biggest **** in boxing and i really hope williams sparks him

it will happen sooner or later anyway

Sexton wasn't the first fighter to spit his gumshield out to buy time and he won't be the last, it happens all the time.

Its not sporting and you can call it cheating, gamesmanship or whatever you want but its hardly the most heinous of crimes ever seen in a ring as some are suggesting.

The bottom line is Rogan should have done his job and kept punching until the ref told him to stop.

the mouthpeice thing is not the big thing with me

its the fact he hit rogan while rogan stopped for him to buy him some time , then the gutless **** starts hitting rogan when rogie helps him out to give him a chance to put his mouthpeice in , thats what pisses me off about the wanker

I've only seen it once so my memory isn't the best but I remember it as Sexton spitting the gunshield out, stopping fighting to motion to the ref that the shield was out then Rogan stopping fighting expecting the ref to call time for the gumshield . Lastly the ref ignoring Sexton and the gumshield and the fight continuing.

rogan stopped to look at the ref and next of all sexton gives rogan afew smacks in the head while rogie is looking at the ref

spineless and cowardly attack , he is a ****
