This shouldn't be allowed ANYWHERE - just as people aren't allowed to artificially bulk up via steroid use, you shouldn't be allowed to artificially make your hands - the tools of the trade in boxing - better than they are.

A HUGE question mark hangs over just how many of Mayweather's wins have come via natural means.

The article you linked says that it's banned in most states with one notable exception being Nevada.

That article, then -- at least as of 2004 -- is false. Lidocaine was banned for boxing in Nevada in 2004 at the time of the ODLH-Hopkins fight. That info comes from a better source than the article I originally linked to in the first post.

Maybe Nevada has changed their stance since 2004. Not sure.
