Is there anybody 154 and down that has the skill to outbox Mayweather? Or is it suicide for mostly everyone? It seems pressure and cutting off the ring has been the plan for Mayweathers opponents recently but most have failed at that.

In response to the thread title - No, not by anyone in todays game.

The consensus is that he is the best pure boxer of the era (since Whitaker IMO) so lets just say he will be the favourite over any fighter in a stand off boxing match.

Judah did it for 2 rounds. It is no impossible. But Floyd adapted and came back. So it will be hard for anyone to do over 12 rounds. Floyd does not fight one way. He mixes it up if plan A is not working.

No - he cant be boxed and he adjusts well, showing intelligence.

Best way to beat him is to force him to brawl, negate his boxing, be all over him from the opening bell.

    Easier said than done.

IMHO Mayweather beats Pac no problem.

Nobody now, but a prime Viper could've with his height, reach, and jab.

  6. Not really over 12 rounds. He just isnt aggressive enough to be outboxed. If he ever loses I think it will just be Hopkins style, aka not throwing enough.

slightly out pointed for a few rounds. and he can be outworked. And he can be pressured and pushed out of his comfort zone.

pac slices him up for breakfast.

I don't think trying to brawl with Floyd is the answer.

Hatton did it and was comprehensively beaten at his own game..... to a point where you could say the fight was closer when he was on the outside.

You Floydies tell him to man up and fight PW (or even Margo) then we'll all see. For you guys, he easily beats everybody, yet he isn't fighting anybody worthy.

I just said it, read it again. PW by a wide UD over Floyd. With the amount of punches PW throws, Floyd will never get the chance to set up as he is on the back pedal the whole night. You guys call me whatever, but only one way to prove me wrong is tell your Duckiefloydie to man up for once and fight him if it is that easy of a fight for him.

Pac wouldn't be able to touch him.

And to answer the original question, no.

Then he wouldnt be outboxed. He would be outworked and Williams would have won on workrate. i give Martinez a btter chance at "outboxing" Mayweather than Williams. I think Mayweather beats Williams IMO.
