Why don't you get the fact that he uses it on fight night? He has pushed for Olympic testing but wants to use a drug that is banned at the Olympics .The Mayweathers and GBP have destroyed a great fight by trying to be to smart. Arrrr

Its not about KOing because he apparently does not have legitimate welterweight power. It is more about being able to continue fighting or throwing punches.

I don't want to start a whole thing here, which I know I'm doing anyway, but can anyone point me toward a source confirming that Xylocaine is actually banned anywhere? All I've read is that it's the most commonly used local anesthetic in the world, not really an incriminating statement.

Please save the Floyd bashing until there's actually a credible source indicating it's illegal status. And don't link an article about Floyd using it in which the author indicates that it's illegal or banned, you'll just paint yourself in a nuthugging light.

    Thanks for the help!

I guess so. I even put equal blame on both these guys, but the xylocaine thing is ridiculous. WADA makes their list of banned substances publicly available and neither Xylocaine nor lidocaine are on there, so ... you know.

Try going to the list of Olympic banned drugs that will give you the answer ! Or try the list of drugs banned by any racing Authority.

Well they're not racing, so that's meaningless.

Olympics are governed by WADA. WADA does not list lidocaine or Xylocaine as a banned substance. I feel like too many people are doing what you just did, assuming that it must be banned because someone on a forum said it was. It's not on WADA's list.

If these are prescription meds, I don't see why one can not use them. That's what they are, prescribed because one has something wrong with him.

Indeed. And while some prescription drugs are in fact banned for use during competition, this does not appear to be one of them. It's literally tantamount to someone starting a thread saying Tylenol is banned in 49 states, and everyone just assuming that's the case and running with it.

Similar, yeah. So you'd admit then, that both are the incorrect thing to do?

    LOL! What a fraud!

A very smart fraud, it must be said. Accusing Pacquiao of using steroids was an ingenious way to create a smokescreen so that Mayweather could continue using this illegal substance.

I hope this story will finally banish this egotistical cheat from boxing forever.

March 13th. Pacquiao vs Clottey. Bring it on.
