Khan needs to get out of there. :-(

Here is some info on what Khan is doing there.

World Champion Boxer Amir Khan arrived in Karachi on the special invitation from the Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) to watch the ongoing Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Boxing Tournament.
Amir Khan arrived along with his family: his father and mother also travelled with him to Pakistan.

Amir Khan: “ My dream is to fight on Pakistani soil once, at least one professional fight. I am very happy to travel to Pakistan to watch the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Boxing Tournament, it’s a big success for Pakistan. I also plan to visit Gojar Khan and Rawal Pindi (he father`s old home).”

    Pakistan is a failed state.

Quite why anybody from outside would want to go there is beyond me.

Look at what happened to the Sri Lanka cricket team, in Lahore - supposedly one of the safest places in Pakistan.

**** knows what goes on in places like Peshawar :-(

I feel sorry that the majority of decent people in Pakistan, are ruined by the actions of a few.

The country is synonymous with Al Qaieda and religious fanatics in the news.

Their leaders have been assassinated and the people are running riot.

They had one person capable of sorting the place out, and they shot her.

One major problem is that the Government don't actually control the entire country..... around a third of it is administered by tribal elders. Throw in the fact that it is an Islamic republic rather than secular, with all the ******ed extremism going on right now you have a recipe for disaster.

:nut You ever travelled beyond europe?

Its not the hellhole being painted in this thread, I went over in 2004 and its a quite interesting place.

Peshawar is not as bad as people make out either, we travelled up to Peshawar and its a bustling city with an old fort etc and a huge arms market:hey but you dont have to go to the arms market to see weapons. There are plenty of shops in the main bazaars selling AK47s.

I think more so to the Americans for pumping in so much money (which was meant to be for Afghans) and funding the juntas in Pakistan.
