This thread and the other one criticizing Pac are just plain stupid. Both guys deserve to fight each. No other two fighters in the sport are more deserving than receiving a massive payday against a worthy opponent.

Excellent post and very true. Floyd didn't really deserve the fight and clearly didn't want it. It will now take him about 4 fights to make the kind of money he would have got in 1 fight against the true P4P number 1.

 

c'mon man, that sounds a little silly. it's not a real title and pretty much everyone gets it by default. mayweather didn't "win" it either, he got it by default when hopkins lost

What has Floyd done to deserve a fight with Pacquiao? Are you flipping kidding me!? If you were a boxing fan and not just a ******* fanboy then you would know the answer to that question! Mayweather is a 5 division world champion, former #1 P4P, and is undefeated in 40 professional fights! In addition, he is arguably the biggest draw in boxing. This fight would be huge, a fight between the ultimate attack and the ultimate defence to determine the true #1 P4P.

Don't kid yourself, we have been screwed out of a mega showdown between two elite boxers. And instead we must make do with Pacquiao vs Clottey, which is a joke considering he is a coming off a loss to Cotto - who recently got destroyed by Pacquiao! Hence, the question should be why the heck does Clottey deserve a fight with Pacquiao? Oh that's right, it's because he is also signed with Top Rank. He will bring that greedy sleazebag Bob Arum more of the profits.

 

pbf beat the lightweight champion, who really is a natural featherweight. and he beat him more convincingly than pac did,even though pac has improved a lot since those fights with marquez. that's why pbf deserves a fight with pac. and because pbf doesn't want to give up his size against mosley, and williams.
