my take on that is it was done deliberately to force Floyd to fight a legit WW and prove his self first if he is really worth Manny's time.

You just can't take a shortcut to Manny's title while others put their self on the firing line while Floyd gets away with it. That's not ****ing fair...

i don't know if the diaz fight was a shortcut, more of a trial run at 135. a lot of fighters do that and that belt gave him leverage for a potential marquez fight. in no way was pac the lightweight champ but it was a legit first fight
