I'm an old school kind of guy, no bull****, straight down to work. I see some guys at the gym not doing roadwork and doing sprints, lifting weights, those guys get messed up when they get in the ring for real.

Morning: Wake at 5:30am, drink a cup of hot tea with lemon
6:00am, hit the road for an 8 mile run
round 7 get back and shower
    eat oatmeal for breakfast
chicken pasta for lunch (that's good ****)

hit the gym at 6pm EVERY NIGHT. I warm up with 9 minutes skipping, do 15x3 on the heavy bag, 20 minutes straight on the speedball, then if I spar I usually get in 3x3 or 4x3. Then I do calisthenics and medicine ball throws to the gut, for a warm down I never stretch (gotta stay tight, it helps to deflect punches) but instead do light shadowboxing and breathing exercises.

Get home and eat a steak with potatoes and greens for dinner.

I'm a straight up slugger, no bull****, no dancing, straight to work. Last week I knocked out a regional champ with my patented left hook to the liver. I have literally forced top local fighters to leave my gym with their tails between their legs.

And I have achieved that with old school training. Roadwork, calisthenics, and boxing skills. No weights and no bull**** sprints.

How the hell is sprinting for 20 seconds gonna prepare you for 12x3 in the ring??? screw that man. And how is pumping iron looking like the Governator gonna make you a better fighter? Won't.

I weigh 210lbs and stand at 6''0, my reach is 72''. An old school HW.

Congrats... Your a gym fighter with no reputation to speak of. How many fights have you had? Why aren't you the regional champion? Well done for keeping it old school- embracing the proven work of scientists would be silly when you can just watch Rocky movies and copy that.

Whats your point if you have one? So have you tried "new" methods of training? No ..... then how would you know if it works or not? Ignorance is bliss i guess:hi:

Why the abuse? Because he doesn't like doing weights? Neither do I. Why does that insult people?

The abuse from me is because hes come on here making claims he has no evidence, if hed have come on say hey guys this is what works for me i dont understand why people do sprints and weights ect im sure people would politely enlighten him, hes come on here saying weights are bull**** and sprints are bull **** thats just ignorance. I myself have a similar routine to him (which im going to change soon) but yes it has worked fine for me without sprints or weights, but im not about to come on here and claim they are useless and bull**** and im old skool bla bla bla. I plan to learn more and hopefully implement both this year, maybe not weights but deffo sprints and interval training.

Like i said ignorance is bliss
