not really, its just because of floyd's latest antics and his decision to fight matt hatton :rofl
seiously though, if this poll was done any other time calzaghe would win by a landslide.

    this thread makes my faith in humanity go down drastically.. . . . . . . .

i am seriously not kidding here

the mere fact that someone could compare Floyd's 0 to Calzaghe's saddens my heart deeply

Obviously Calzaghe. Horrible resume of someone as talented and good as he was.

Wow how the **** is Mayweather winning this!!?!?!

    Calzaghe fought Mario Viet. Twice.

He fought Tocker Pudwill. AND the mighty Peter Manfredo!

And who can forget the Sakio Bika fight! That clash of the titans will go down in history, at least for the 6 members of Bika's family that saw it.

C'mon Calzaghe did fight some guys that were good, but he fought plenty of **** too.

I chose Mayweather and I stand by that, though both men clearly take the easy way out sometimes. Joe fought and beat Eubank, Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins and Jones jr. At the time he fought them Kessler and Lacy were clear number one contenders in the division. Not only that but he came to America for the first time and moved up a weight class to fight a guy that no one can possibly look good against in Hopkins.

Neither man took on all comers like Ali, De La Hoya, Mosley and Pacquaio have done but Joe was more game for a risk than Mayweather is.

Calzaghe finally stepped up to the plate, although briefly, when he fought Lacy and Kessler.

PBF, since being in the welterweight division since 2005, has only fought one legit 147 lbs Carlos Baldomir.

I no longer support PBF but this is a joke Slappy is fraud who hid in Wales behind his WBOGUS title for yrs, PBF has lost alot of respect but Slappy never had any to begin with.

Definitely Calslappy. Fought NO ONE until he faced Lacy, who in hindsight was really just a prospect. Beat past their best Hops & Jones, and managed to get floored by both.

He fought NO real challenges during his prime.

Mayweather fought a lot of good fighters when he was coming up; however, has been cherry-picking since he fought JLC.

...but man did he outclassed Lacy! IIRC, I had Calzaghe winning every round.

    "Prime lions"?

Kessler the stiff robot who was just schooled 9 rounds to 2 by a prospect? THAT prime lion? :rofl

And don't get me started on the steroid turtle Jeff Lacy. The man who was shut out by Jermain Taylor...Jermain Taylor, who has been KTFO by every decent banger he's ever faced! :rofl
