    Where the European colonied did stir things up was by introducing the aryan invasion theory, a now debunked theory which suggested that India was always ruled by light skinned foreign aryans, who they represented, and that they were reclaiming there righful place. They then encouraged conversion to Islam, and Christianity for lower caste Hindus, and south indians who they wrongly suggested were indiginous darker skinned dravidians and should be under rule from aryans.

    Good things though was the railways, and the introduction of the judicial system

    Wasn't reported anywhere else because there was no blood, no one died.. ;) sad truth of it all. It was a 'near miss' as far as the media is concerned.

    True, today Pakistan is a failed state. Random bombs going off anywhere and anytime, 10 years ago this was not happening in Pakistan. Why only in the last 10 years and why so frequent now! Thanks to the 'war on terror', US drones dropping bombs at will on Pakistani soil and coupled with Pakistan's corrupt government fueling further extremism and anger, its trapped in a cycle of violence.
