You are correct, no-one is holding a gun to anyone's head. But it would appear that Manny is holding a pay-cheque to Clottey's! Iceman mate, you know your boxing, and you know who the big draws in the sport are!! If Clottey, or anyone else for that matter refused to fight at Manny's "Weight" all that would happen is Clottey would be "Binned" and Manny would find someone who would (If they were a 147 or heavier fighter). Manny is the marque fighter, not Clottey, and Manny is using this fact to manipulate the weight which his opponents "Weigh in" at! Such conduct is not befitting the p4p best boxer on Earth.

Pac has a welterweight title belt now and in both capturing it and defending it he hasnt even fought at 147 yet Clottey defended his welterweight belt against Cotto who robbed it blind from him and now Clottey has to go fight Pac at 144 to get his welterweight belt back. The Cotto v Clottey fight was for Cotto's WBO belt and it was a very close fight. Idiots who call every close fight a robbery do my head in.
mainstream fans would not know the difference if this fight was made at catchweight or not. they will only remember the fight or the fighters and who won. this stuff about catchweight or some stipulations about gloves are not much the priorities of mainstream fans.

I really hope not.. He wants Pac to be 100% so they can't take blood from him. Yet, they tell Clottey to weight in at least 3lbs under the welterweight limit for a welterweight fight. They won't have blood taken from Pac as it could weaken him, but they don't mind draining opponents and weakening them. Roach/Arum/Pac are getting too big for themselves.
