Well, everybody else but me had started a Pac/May thread but I wanted mine to be distinctive. Something different. So I decided to base it on the only factual statement provided by either side.

    They're idiots then.

At least Pac is still making it clear that he's open to negotiate yet AGAIN after his next fight, Mayweather's team didn't respond to that at all and it doesn't look like they will respond.

I think they were caught off guard and never believed it wouldn't happen. They are probably still formulating a response. Arum obviously already had his in place.

I'm not trying to 'go there'. Plus, Arum left the door wide open. The public pressure for this fight should grow if anything. IF it happens, it is bigger in November.

shaefer said on ESPN's website they were going to look at Mosley after Floyd fights an oppenent TBD on March 13.. if thats the case they could have Mosley Mayweater around June and still have plenty of time to get Pac Mayweather done around november..

    thats just wishful thinking..

Not wishful thinking. Clearly still the biggest money fight out there. People think I'm a May hater, but I'm not. I've seemed that way because I got really tired of the 'guilty until proven innocent' bull ****. I think Floyd has what it takes to beat Mosely. Regardless of what you think about Hatton, he is a tough kid. Floyd stopped him.

I'm not giving up on this fight. If both guys take care of business, we could be VERY glad in November it didn't happen now. And if one or both loses? That could actually be good because it would force even more fights among the top guys.

I don't think Floyd will want to have 3 ring dates (especially with too little time between each fight) unless the middle date is a tune-up (which would probably mean that he can't fight the Mosley-Berto winner at all). IIRC, GBP has both the March date and the May date held, so it might be better if the May date was a fight against the winner of Mosley-Berto, and then Pac in early October or so.

If they still plan on having the fight at a temporary outdoor stadium with the people at the Wynn as first considered, then September/early October might actually be a better time period because it can and probably will get quite cold in November already.

That being said, if they do the outdoor stadium thing with the Wynn, I'm wondering how the closed-circuit viewing will be handled (probably still with the MGM properties).

I'd think the temp outdoor venue would be a no go now. No one available as an opponent that would necessitate that. They would have to have one hell of a packed under card. Plus I thought the outdoor venue was Arum's wet dream anyhow since they couldn't do this in Dallas?

  13. Shut up, ***. You know damn well that it's Pacquiao's fault.

I'd really didn't want this discussion to go in this direction. Please stay on topic.
