    :goodfinnegan was a star.a fighter with a huge heart and rock hard chin.hagler and minter certainly thought so

    Hagler called him his toughest opponent.

    Apparently Finnegan was a much better painter than a boxer.

    The Minter fights are the best stuff to check out if you wanted to see him at his best i'd say.Second fight is an excelent technical fight.

    He looks a bit worn out in this fight to me, and Sibbo is raw, though it's still a nice "old pro teaches up and coming prospect some new tricks" kind of fight.

    It was thought at the time that he was past his best and it was a bit of a surprise when he won. He then pulled off another shock beating Gratien Tonna in France for the European title. Minter won the world title a month later and Kevin begged him for a shot but it never came off.

    Minter had to give Antoufermo a rematch instead. Americans found it a bit dubious when the British judge congratulated Minter in the ring after the first fight.
