Why is everyone making a big deal about catch weights. This has been going on for around 100 years since Joe Gans made Joe Walcott stay at 138 lbs back in 1904. Sugar Ray Leonard won two WBC titles at the same time back in 88 when he required Lalonde to be at a catch weight. Both Oscar DLH and Winky Wright fought Bernard Hopkins with a catchweight requirement. Same with Roy Jones JR and Trinidad. Same with Kelly Pavlik and Jermaine Taylor. But to answer your question, Dave Charnley vs Emile Griffith. Griffith had to defend his welterweight title at a 145 catch weight. Charnley was a southpaw just like pac-man who fought as a lightweight. Griffith fought two other welterweights at a catchweight as well. It just seems that there are so many Pac haters due to racism. No one wants to accept that a filipino/asian is at the top of the boxing world. THAT IS WHAT IS UNPRECENDENTED.

I'm an American. And its difficult to admit that most American fans are simply too stupid or stubborn to grasp the fact that Mayweather completely screwed this fight up. The fact is that if he hadn't've made these ridiculous requests, this fight would already be on the schedule. And what, prey tell, what evidence did Mayweather have that Manny is taking illegal substances? The answer is zero. Manny hasn't tested postive for an illegal substance in his career. Of course, stupid people with no understanding of dignity will say, why doesn't he just take the tests? After he has been repeatedly disparaged for no good reason in the press?
