lmao @ this ****... Dixie cup Cotto basically made it out on his feet, and these people are claiming Pacquiao could stop the unstoppable Shane Mosley and tank-tough Joshua Clottey. The HYPE is real. :rofl
Mosley's not likely to run like Cotto did. And I'm sorry, I'm not one of those guys who have become a delusional "Mosley is the unstoppable force of the Universe" fanatic after his win over Margarito. Although it would take the efforts of an elite fighter, Mosley can be beaten.
Beenie, one quick note; how long have you been following boxing, honestly? ^ Yeah, Mosley can be beaten. NOT STOPPED by Pacquiao, IMCV. Let's stay on the subject.
Styles make fights. Nothing Pacman does would surprise me. Even just six months ago, i would've agreed that this thinking would've been outragous but i don't think it is anymore. With his amazing hand/foot speed, ability to punch from any angle and his solid chin, who knows.
And let's get this notion out the way that no fighter is unknockoutable. Margarito and Andrade were two chin masters of the last few years. They both got stopped.
You're talking to the wrong guy. Margarito and Andrade are PROFESSIONAL PUNCHING BAGS. I personally talked about how cooked SHOT both of them were before they got stopped, right directly on the doorstep of the stoppages themselves. Yep, Mosley could get stopped - when he's ready. That time hasn't come just yet. I've been ALL OVER this. :yep
Well, i don't see it happening but it just wouldn't shock me if it did. What Pacman has been doing the last couple of years is beyond belief. You can't compare him to mere mortals. He's a true legend.
I point that out because that win seemingly has greatly influenced the perception many, so much so that people tend to neglect Mosley's shortcomings in his prior performances. And I'm an admitted Noob.
His prior performance was at 154 against a guy who was close to 170 fight night. Obviously you look different fighting someone of equal size. No shame in that. At least you can admit it. Others just talk mad **** and pretend to be insiders...
I agree to some extent. But this is MOSLEY we're talking about. Never been stopped EVER in his life. NEVER in the amateurs, NEVER in the pros. Pacquiao doesn't hit that hard, bud. Ask Freddie Roach, he'll back me up on this. Well, you're wrong, B. Don't mean to ask a question like that, but your NOOBness showed when you made that statement. You're still one of my favorite posters though. :smooch
Pacquiao couldn't mix it up with Shane, and thats the only way he knows how to fight, Shane by stoppage IMO Naz vs Freddie would be an intense coaching duel
Point taken. I however don't think the weight really had much to do with his ability on that night. He more less looked befuddled at times dealing with Mayorga's quirky style. I was also eluding to his defeat to Cotto in which he again looked perplexed in dealing with Cotto's speed and timing which it was clear he underestimated. Only been following the sport closely for the last few years but I try to make up for lost time as often as I can. :thumbsup
