Marco Antonio Barrera --------------------- Erik Morales III Naseem Hamed Paulie Ayala Robbie Peden Rocky Juarez Kennedy Mckinney is better than Peden, Juarez, and a 126lbs Ayala. You also didn't acknowledge his victory over Morales in the second outting, care to explain that?

i went to the peden fight so for me seeing him live was something il never forget...never mind the fact he put on a clinic ....ive never seen the mckiney fight so felt it would be slightly hypocritical to say its one of my favourite wins/performances of his the 3rd morales win was the most clear cut out of the trilogy while the 2nd was a controversial decision...id have put the first fight on the list before the 2nd
You NEED to see the Mckinney fight. Maybe the best fight of the 90s. It was epic. I respect your points. :good I'm envious that you got to see him live, he wasn't at his best for Peden, but he still showed flashes of brilliance.
haa cheers i will youtube it one day this week while im off anyway the peden fight was similiar to the juarez rematch in that he didnt show the old barrera of going in the trenches he just used that laser jab he had and some brilliant footwork an totally outclassed a good opponent..last 2 rounds he tried to get peden out of there but he showed good resistance
youtube barrera vs llyod and sanchez too. i uploaded both and..they are frightening displays of talent from the great one.
No way should Beyer be number one. Did you see the fight? He was there for a quick paycheck. Basically stood there with his hands up, waiting to get KO'ed.

Joe Calzaghe: 1] Kessler 2] Hopkins 3] Roy Jones 4] Lacy 5] Mitchell Roy Jones: 1] Toney 2] Ruiz 3] Hopkins 4] Griffin II 5] Tarver
Smartarse, it can be spelt both ways. The Irish version was taken from the English 'crack' (I'm not that sad, just Wikid it)
I am not a big Calzaghe fan by any means, but I have gained an appreciation for him over the past few years! I don't see this past it version of RJJ really adding to the legacy of Joe other than the 1 sided fashion he won it in. His level of RJJ opponent though does not seem to me to be among his best wins?? Calzaghe: 1. Chris Eubank 2. Jeff Lacy 3. Bernard Hopkins (although not by my scorecard) 4. Kessler 5. between Sheika and Brewer
Chavez was only a shell when DLH beat him the second time. No a good win. :bart Hopkins should be second above Jones Jr. who was completly shot and Lacy who never was anything. Kessler above him could be argued. Oh, and I thought B-Hop won. Wright beat him. Close but clear. On first glance: yes, if you look deeper you see that Margarito probably only was up there due to cheating, Wright was already done, he should have lost to Martinez and he also lost to Quintana. Still, I like to see him fight Dzinziruk or Pavlik. He has a chance with either one and who knows where he might end up. :good Get Hatton on that list instead of DLH. He was an old man and imo all other were better oponents than him when he fought PBF. Beyer was as game as he could be by that stage of his career up to the body shots landing some wicked body shots himself. Look at Kesslerś face when Beyer landed his. He felt them. Eubank was nearly as much past it as Jones was. Kessler should be number one. Undefeated unified champ with great credentials and aside from Calzaghe himself the best resume in the division. Two would be Hopkins, sho I had also winning. Lacy third. Reid would be 4th and either Jones or Eubank 4th.
I don't believe Eubank was as past it as Jones! I don't believe this was a prime Eubank by any stretch (who I would favor over Joe by the way), but he was certainly a top teir fighter when this happened, rusty yes, past his prime yes, but still effective! jones previous fights showed him to be a mere shell and no longer a viable top flight contender! hop's disputed though the victory might be was also still world class! Lacy in hindsight has been undervalued, going in he was seen as I believe the favorite to pull this off and as such I rate Joes victory in this on as pretty good? I am not sure I understand the reid pick as not only do I not think reid is as good of scalp on Joe's belt. but the fact remanins that Joe gave a lackluster performance and by the voice of many was lucky to get out of that fight with the decision...I gave it to Joe but thought it was closer than it should have been! Peace
