Taylor was never any good to begin with. An HBO hype job who's rep was built on gift decision over ATGs Hopkins and Wright. As soon as he started facing top level fighters in their prime at his own weight, he started getting knocked out. Which is exactly what would have happened had he continued in this tournament.

Gentleman he is, but he just doesn't have it anymore, or one could argue him ever having "it" to begin with

I don't know whether that's the case, but you make a good point about the 3 knockout losses and one that I've found it important to stress also. Froch, Pavlik, Abraham - the latter is a genuine one-punch knockout artist, Pavlik hits very hard aswell and Froch's punches can be damaging on accumlation. Not to mention he was exhausted in that fight.

People asking for him to pull out of the Super Six are acting like he's getting embarassed everytime he gets in the ring. He hurt Pavlik big time in that fight and nearly had him out of there, and managed to last the distance in the rematch. He was up against Froch before he gassed, and competitive with Abraham before getting taken out by a huge punch by a huge puncher. He can still be competitive, hell I think he might of even had a shot at beating Ward.

 

Taylor's done man.

It's better for him to pull out.

He can still make some mney comibng back fighting a lower level opposition.

Coming off the back of that KO i think he needed to think about his options. What are his chances in the super 6 realistically? What other fights do you seem him winning? and if he were to lose them all where would that have left him.. I think his best option (if he is going to return) would be to take time off.. then come back and choose his own route back into it. The fact that he would be fighting for a world title is the only reason i thought he would stay in the super 6.

 

How the F**k did taylor get any sort of gift decision against Hopkins.. Bhop was awful in those fights and didn't fight for like 6 rounds of the first bout...
