Very good fight, actually. No messing around with either of them. Puts Florian right back up there and a perfect way to bring around Gomi vs. Penn, though it really doesn't matter anyway seen as whoever faces Penn is just gonna be flattened.
First things first, Gomi needs to get a few good wins under his belt. Even he does that, I'm sure BJ will be fighting at 170 by then anyway. I know Gomi wants the rematch but he should forgot about it and focus on earning the right, which won't be easy.

Id be surprised if Gomi can even take Florian down at this point. I can envision an embarrassing loss for him. A guy like Guida will **** him up right now.
I'm sure he would want to keep it standing anyway. I wanted him to fight a Fisher or Stout for his first UFC fight. Not sure how I feel about the Florian fight. Its a big fight, could be just what he needs to be motivated or as you said it could end embarrassingly for him. I have a feeling (and hope) he will surprise a lot of people.
Sucks for Gomi. Florian's pretty much the best LW in the UFC outside of Penn, and I think he matches up very well with Gomi.
Shitty match for Gomi. Seems Gomi's head isn't in the right place right now either.. He want's to come to Cali, to become a surfer? Lol. Guys got a lot of natural talent, should let someone else fight him just to show him what he's in with, get him introduced to the octagon.. Pretty sad, bad move on UFC's part.
one thing that might help gomi is fighting under a big stage and training state side may revitalize him. if it hasnt im saying kenny by rnc
