U miss the point, you call khan a cocky, fraud and joke yet u cant justify your support for the biggest tragedy in british boxing who was a lesser fighter and epitomizes everything you say about khan You Fail catastrophically, You do know that audley put a permanent end to boxing on BBC you sound a bit clueless

Amir Khan is a silly man, I dont know how he even gets mentioned with the world champions at Light Welter because he isnt at none of thier levels yet, He hasnt even fought a world class opponent yet, Kotelnik was fringe world class and Salita was a joke a dont even know how he was regarded as the mandatory challenger who did he beat ? If Khan beats Maidana he will get the respect he deserves off me but until then he gets about as much respect of me as Audley Harrison does and beleive me that is very little, The lad has fought nobody's he even got knocked out by a nobody.

Amir Khan but he has been protected more than Audley Harrison was, When Khan was coming through the ranks when he first started out he was fighting featherweights and he was struggling to make lightweight, He was near enough a lightwelter fighting blown up featherweights.

And Audley was 30 when he made his pro debut, Khan was 18 - there was a bigger rush to get Audley to become a 'World' champion due to this. Also Khan started fighting most of the top guys domestically (Limond, Earl, Lawton) after a couple of years as a pro and also took on St Clair - even though he was a blown up super-feather, I think it is an underrated win for Khan.

After Audley beat Calloway (good win) he should have pushed on for the bigger fights, yet it took another 2 years for him to have his fight against Williams - the top domestic heavyweight - 4 years after he debuted...Khan was fighting the top domestic fighters (apart from Thaxton) after 2 years...

They should do, I think everyone is in agreement that Maidana is a big test for Khan. Anyway, people should already respect him for winning the silver medal as a 17 year old and winning the 'world' title after bouncing back from a devastating defeat.

This is what I don't get...why respect Khan only after he beats someone who has absolutely no chance of ever being close to world class?

So he would get more respect for beating a man who got beat by a man that Khan has already beaten:huh

It seems to me that certain posters would give Khan more credit for beating a plodding banger in Maidana than they would a proper world class fighter in Bradley, thats completely FUBAR:deal
