My take on it basically is that if Cotto could have done that, he wouldn't be Cotto, he'd be someone else. Ultimately, the fight was over for all intents and purposes after about five or six rounds. Cotto tried to mix it up with Pacquiao and got sent to the canvas painfully. He then tried to backpeddle and it looked hopelessly like a lot of his other fights where he appears to be running out of energy late in the fight and just surviving. Cotto doesn't seem to have the stamina to box off the backfoot.

With regard to your question whether Pacquiao can take a full Welterweight's power... well, the fight was at 145lbs, so that hasn't been answered yet. Fact is, I only see there being two Welterweights who can hang with Pacquiao the way they need to and have a real shot at winning. Mayweather and Mosley are the guys with the stamina and skills to threaten Pacquiao. I would pick Mayweather to outbox Pacquiao and Mosley to stop Pacquiao. I could actually see Pacquiao knocking Paul Williams out, assuming he could even make Welterweight anymore, which I doubt.

Well, I'd say so far that the forum is confident for the most part what Clottey has that Cotto doesn't and vice versa won't make a shred of difference. One thing I'm certain of at this point; Pacquiao is going to get banged up pretty good. :nod

That very well could have saved him from the beating Margarito put on him. Hell, that could have gotten him the win against Margarito too, but he just doesn't like clinching it seems.

You talk a lot but lacking substance. As every stupid person in the world, you actually believe you have got more common sense than everyone else. Oh well. Can't help you fool.

Some people just have an instinct to throw back to defend themselves rather than to hold. He took some huge uppercuts that fight but he never went down..pretty durable to me!

As far as Pac v. Clottey, I think Pac wins 9 rounds in a wide UD.

Get at me then, ALT. :rofl Because there is NOTHING BUT substance in my argument.

Can't read, IDIOT? Who is the one TALKING, *****??? REALLY now? GTFOH.

  10. Really? So why not answer the question? I mean I know you picked Hatton. So then you either picked PAC against DLH or Cotto? Which was it? State it and then we can search your posts for veracity. :yep

No, I'm not saying its a "concrete formula", I'm just saying its relevant. For example, when you picked Hatton to be "too strong" for Pacquiao you were basing this on the fact that DLH was weight drained and Pacquiao had not been tested at that weight class.

What does this have to do with Joshua Clottey? Well, look at it this way: If this were 14 months ago, everybody would laugh at the prospect that Pacquiao would even last 3 rounds against Clottey, or any real welterweight. Why do we think differently now? hmmm. Probably because of:

    1) Pacquiao Vs DLH
    2) Pacquiao Vs Hatton
    3 ) Pacquiao Vs Cotto

Do you really wish to refute any of these simple points?

It's cool, questions are totally rhetorical.

  11. He's just defensive cause I remember well when he was talking a lot about how Hatton was going to give Pacquio a lesson in "welcome to the the weight class". :yep

Suicide Booth, at least try to make a discussion of it rather than just running for the hills trying to find the safest out. What you have stated here is not only COMMON SENSE and BORING, it's been said REPEATEDLY on this forum time and time again. Yes, we ALL know how much perception has changed in the last year and a half. Blah, blah, blah. You don't have much experience with this sport, do you? That's the problem, EH? Two pieces of advice; NEVER use triangle theories, and NEVER think something unlikely can't happen. Not in boxing.

OH? Is that why I've openly and consistently mocked myself for that pick? FAIL.

It's a good way for you to weasel out of having to own up the subject though isn't it?

Please, feel free to go back to conversing with your ALT. I won't interrupt.

  14. Er, I dont even know what the **** your talking about. Im aware that what I said was "common sense", I felt pretty stupid having to write it tbh, but seemed necessary given your bizarre comments about Cotto and Hatton not being relevent. And now you just change the subject and go onto some other random thing - 'anything can happen'? Yes, thanks for that. How enlightening.

Still dodging the question here, though. You are 0/3, arent you? :yep

  15. Haha? Weaseling out of WHAT? What is your point? I dont even know what it is. If you can follow one logical, linear thought process perhaps we could get somewhere.

He is not my alt, fool. I dont have any alts.
