157-162. so close. i'm surprised that it was really this close. 2 or 3 years ago before floyd's retirement, this would be calzaghe all the way. now after floyd returning after 2 years and still would not fight an elite welter, people now are thinking that he is protecting his "0" like joe did.

Joe gets a little too much hate on here whilst Warren gets off scotch free, i feel a little sorry for Joe, hes definatly a HOF boxer but he isnt an ATG as a big fan thats hard to admit

well, joe certainly picked it up in his last years fighting kessler and bhop. instead of jones, he could have pick up someone like dawson and he would have ended it with a bang.

totally agree, it pissed me off no end when he decided to fight Jones for a payday, he should have fought Pavlik before Bhop got to him and finished up with Dawson (not to sure if Dawson would have proved just to big for joe):good

I wanted him to fight Pavlik as well. But Joe said exactly what would hapen in the B-hop fight.

I think he could have taken Dawson but we will never know!

I think Calzaghe's 0 was more protected but if he's the champ, people have to fight him in England/Wales. He was the champ so it was up to others to come and get the title.

Joe fought Lacy who was considered at the time #1 in the division @ Lacys natural weight. Floyd has not done that in 10 years.

That said both were protected for a signifagent amount of time at certain points of their careers.

Floyd fought undefeated knock out artist corrales in his 25th pro fight.

Calzaghe fought underfeated Lacy in his 41st pro fight:rofl:rofl

    That's the difference.

Right I said different points in their career. Floyd was clearly hungrier early in his career. The Corrales fight is the fight Im speaking about 10 years ago. I see your point though.
