I think he shows glimpses of his talent, and when he does it looks like he has a fair bit, but he doesn't seem to want to be in there sometimes.

It started with Audley. Not Khan!

For the kind of style he has he needs to have a KO punch... at the moment he slaps, unless he can sort this out he's going to get a bad beat by someone soon.

I agree. Last time out he looked like he was trying to do a David Haye type of thing. Haye bangs though!

Need to give him time though. It gets on my tits a bit when everybody starts bashing him straight away. And I'm not even a fan of Degale.

Was unimpressed by Gavin in his last fight though!

He is certainly not as talented as Frank Warren or sky sports make him out to be but any knowledgable boxing fan knows just how how good he is.... which ain't that good at all so far.

Where we stand with teh 3 olympians at the moment is...

    1) Degale - Seems to be struggling to adapt to the professional ranks, every fight he's in, seems to do a bad impression of another british boxer, first fight a dreadful Eubank impression, next fight his Calzaghe style slaps came out, and as menioned above, tried doing the lean back Haye style.

    2) Fun time Frankie, was massively impressive in all his fights, was expecting him to be up to khans level about a year quicker than khan, till this last fight, had the otehr bloke had a bit of patience, i think he could have nicked it.

    3) Billy Joe saunders needs to lay off the pies, and get down to Light Middleweight, thats not baby fat, thats Podge! He's not even a middleweight, let alone SMW.

:huh I didn't get that impression at all, he was in control of the fight - Frankie's worst performance was his debut IMO.

Fair enough, but i'll wait until its announced officially first. Obviously with all the talk of him possibly giving up the WBA belt and Freddie Roach not wanting him to take that fight, speaks volumes in itself.

Met the lad at the Khan/Kotelnik weigh in and he seemed a good lad.. From then i have hoped the best for him - but it can't be helped when thinking he doesn't deserve it when he opens his mouth all the time and starts slapping/switching stances.

He needs to work hard and get his head down.. get through the early fights well and then he can start showing fans his talent through his boxing and not his talking.

your entitled to your opinion but i won every round an put him down so the score would of been 60 53 an i agree i dont think it should of been stopped an it was my 5th fight im still learning he had 15 10(8) 5 (0) so was a hard fight on paper but i came through like the other olympians have so until we lose or even lose a round then criticise but so far were doing ok i read things i cant hit i will run off in my fights not gonna do anything as a pro but let me try an if i fail then u were right but im sure some titles will go my way.

Very refreshing post from a pro. Not that the mob will listen.

    Good luck Frankie.

frankie gavin out of the whole lot seems the 1 with the slightly brighter future, from the clips iv seen of the rest they'll all fail at going beyond domestic level,
