Boxers almost never retire on the back of wins, if he gets a win in the summer and looks even half decent doing it then you can bet they'll be another one after that.

This may sound crazy but what about a rematch with PBF.

For those of you who have stopped laughing just think about it.

Hatton wants to fight a big name. Check
Wants one more big pay day. Check

I think PBF would be up for it also as it would do better PPV numbers than Pac - Clottey and it would be a bigger pay day than if he went against Williams, Cotto, etc

For the record I think Hatton would be stupid to do it but boxing isn't full of clever people is it?

I think Hatton Marquez would be a good fight but Hatton needs to sort out so many things. Diet, who his trainer would be etc!!!

I think Hatton would also want a snowballs chance in hell of winning. Uncheck!;)

Hatton-Mayweather 2 would be a joke mate. Floyd couldn't pull that **** off, no one would want to watch it, we all know what happened the first time.

I never claimed it was a good idea but just an idea.

Suspect I have seen more unconscious fighters than you my friend, unless you are well into your dotage.
It's not a case of distress, it's seeing the warbing signs. Against Pac, Ricky looked terrible physically - never mind the dead=man-walking no punch resistance performance. Mallignaggi was and is a non puncher. Remember round nine against the Mexican after Mayweather. And he couldn;t fight.

Does Hatton want to become a trial horse? To be outclassed by somebody like Khan. Losing to two of the best fighters of his generation is no disgrace, agreed, but take it and go.

And we know what happens. He pulls out a body; somehow, maybe gets a result. Then the self deception moves on. Rematch with Mayweather ... and he gets hurt. Rematch Pacquiao ... my blood runs cold.

See sense Ricky, even if those close to you are incapable of doing it.

Again, thats boxing isn't it? Boxers think they have more left than they have and need to find out the hard way. The situation Hatton is in at the moment isn't even close to being as bad as you are suggesting, he's just doing what boxers have always done and will always do. How many boxers retire when they strictly speaking (hell, strictly speaking they shouldn't be getting hit in the head in the first place) should have?

I think you're wasting your time with the "open letter" format, I can't see Hatton changing his mind on the back of a couple of posts on ESB.

(BTW the temperature of your blood notwithstanding, if anyone thinks they can sell a Pac rematch then I'd be very interested to hear from them;))

i really like hatton, but it is truely a terrible decision to come back,i dont see who he will beat at this stage,i dont like amir khan at all but he knocks hatton out early,he has to lose so much weight to get to 140 for a start,he looked like a bit of a corpse against pacquiao,he will look even worse this time round,he could et serisouly hurt in his next fight which would be a shame as he is a shadow of his former abilities in the ring

I didn't think he'd come back, surely he can't have too much left in him at this stage. He's huge as well, it'll be some effort for him to get back to fighting weight.

What odds are you giving me?

Considering, the fight isn't made, it's not likely to be made, Khan is the better boxer & Ricky is shot?
