Sugar Shane has fought several p4p fighters, he has to be an ATG, what do you boxing fans have to say?
He has never really ducked anyone and always fought to a high standard. He is a very good fighter and has a couple of good fights left in him.
he is def an atg maybe top 150 but right now he has not had a career defining win aside from ODLH...he is older and is maybe around 10-15 p4p....he lost to forrest x 2 and wink x 2...and his win over margo was good but he had just got caught cheating and vargas was def past it....he is good and a win over berto would make him a top ten p4p IMO....he is a bi overrated to me....decent wins over mayorga and colazzo
except floyd...I do not believe in any fighter DUCKING another but he could have had that fight and chose to take a year off....u r right that he has fought to a high standard in ALL his fights but who has he really BEATEN besides oscar in their first fight
He did duck Floyd with that vacation and toothache bull****...For the most part he has taken on all comers. Moving up to face Wright was very respectful. He had the courage to try to revenge the losses...so he's really lost to only 3 different fighters, and all those fighters were very good as well.
if he didnt take drugs then a medium ATG but i dont count his oscar victories as fair ones. high hall of fame for me
I'm not all to sure about him ducking Mayweather and when you fight at such a high standard you will come a cropper, even if he has never been blitzed. Margarito, Vargas Collazo and Mayorga aren't bad names and lets remember he was a lightweight at the start of his career. Cotto, De La Hoya, Wright and Forrest are all high profile names and Mosley gave each one a hell of a fight.
I did an all time top 100 and had him about the 70 mark, so he's a low level ATG for me. An impressive win over Berto would move him up a place or two on my list but I'd still consider him in the same level of fighter. Hopefully he smokes Berto then gets his chance at Manny and PBF. Would love nothing more than for Shane to whoop those 2 prima-donnas (great fighters nonetheless).
You're too biased to speak on the subject. Shane has an excellent resume. Holiday, Leija, Molina, Rivera, Diaz, De La Hoya x2, Vargas x2, Collazo, Mayorga and Margarito. Vargas was shot in their rematch, but he was still very dangerous in their first fight, plus about 10 pounds heavier. Margarito was an amazing performance and an amazing win. 12-1 odds against Shane winning by KO. Three of his losses have been close and I actually scored the Cotto fight for Mosley last time I watched it.
