As long as they "Weigh in" at the weight Manny demands! I'm a fan of both Manny and Floyd, but I now have less respect for them as a result of them not fighting each other. The only fight that matters imo is Manny-vs-Floyd. Do any of us really care who they fight if it is not each other? Both these idiots are going to be proclaiming themselves the "P4P #1" yet they will not fight each other!! It is preposterous!!
when should the bolded part be a compromise. wasn't he complaining about the 10 oz gloves against oscar. pac is not a cheat so what he suggested was perfectly fine yet floyd did not budge. this goes two ways, floyd bailed on a £40 million dollar fight on speculation that pac would take undetected ped's before the fight when the whole world is watcing him and where there is no room for miscalculation because of the urine and blood tests. that is very far fetched.
Ill still be a fan im not fickle or anything, when u are a fan u have to accept the good with the bad, im not going to stop being his fan cause i dont agree with something he does or doesnt do. If that was the case i would not have been a true fan in the first place. PS He does need to fight some true Welters, i.e Shane, Berto, Collazo, Cotto etc....
i said yes because hes gonna fight in the first 3rd of 2010 anyway and at the moment all the fighters in question are ivolved in outher fights or still not cleard to fight by doctors
Yeah they look like this guy This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Yeah Right....I can hear it now. "CLOTTEY JUST LOST TO COTTO". "AND HE LOST TO MARGARITO" "FLOYD IS A BLAH BLAH BLAH". "WHY IS HE FIGHTING A GUY HE KNOWS HE CAN BEAT"...BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! you guys are HILARIOUS!!!!
I love the way people say Pacquiao merely turned down a non-boxing rule about the testing. Since when has the welterweight limit been 145? Duckaio seems to do what he wants, so Floyd thought he'd make his own demands. Pacquiao expects people to agree to his weight stipulations, yet he runs from a simple blood test a full 2 weeks before a $40 million mega-fight.
Your laughing at a hypothetical situation. I doubt anyone would really come down on Floyd for fighting Clottey, Clottey is a threat to anyone. The problem is he didnt pick Clottey. From what I heard so far his list of opponets include Campbell (a lightweight), Paulie and Bradley (Jr. Welterweights) :hi:
I voted yes, and heres my reason for doing so. Assuming Mayweather wants to stick to the March 13th date, or there abouts. I can't see any of the boxers you mentioned being ready for the bout. Mosley and Berto certainly won't be ready. Williams has just come through 12 gruelling rounds, and is almost certain to be having a rematch in his next bout. Mayweather needs to be facing a top WW in his next bout, just to make a statement in my opinion. I think Mayweather beats all mentioned, but he needs to go out and beat them, otherwise it is irrelevant. Also, like Polo28 has already said. If you are a fan, you are a fan. Unless you are easily persuaded, no-one can say anything that can change your mind.
i agree tommy its not as simple as that when it comes to facing pac or the mosley/berto winner in his next fight. but he most certainly can fight pwill it doesnt matter wat weight he has fought as high as the fact is he can still make welterweight and its probabley his best weight so he does hav that option and if he is as great as he says then he should take it
Some people who responded with or say things things like, 'floyd doesnt fight threats, he only fights smaller guys' either are new to the sport or their hate for Floyd does not allow them to think rationally...manny walked away from the fight, mosely avoided fights with mayweather before, why would someone say hes afraid of these people? People are dumb enough to actually think that asking for blood testing was a way to duck a fight with manny? The truth is mayweather can never win with the critics unless he fights EVERY top ten contender with a name from 147-154, and then when he beats them all there will still be complaints...people dont even give him time to set up a fight before they accuse him of ducking and being scared of someone...the realistic scenario is that he fights someone in March as a stay busy fight and then takes on the berto/mosely winner...after that maybe a fight with pac or a move up to 154 and then a final fight at 160 for a championship.
I agree, Paul will fight him at any weight at the drop of a dime. I do agree that his options are very limited, but its not as if he doesnt have any options. I wouldnt have anything to say if he faught someone like Luis Colago or Cintron, although they are less risky fights they are still game opponets that will make Floyd break a sweat. I most perfer to see him fight Williams or Martinez, but long as he fights a game opponet. This Campbell/Paulie/Bradley stuff is bull****. (Not to diminish Bradley but he isnt a welterweight)
