Fedor is the only one on that list that is truly undefeated.

 

Spider Silva in my opinion.

 

BJ has defeated a reigning champion at welterweight (Hughes). He even fought a competitive fight with the current 205 champ, at heavyweight!!

Anderson Silva has defeated a former champion at light-heavyweight (Griffin).

GSP has never even fought a contender at middleweight, and he has been ko'd by a fighter who campaigned for most of his career at lightweight (Serra).

Matt Serra could never defeat BJ Penn.

Penn, GSP and Silva have been dominant champions and are great for the sport, but when considering them p4p I must take the above into consideration.

I am a huge fan of GSP and he could easily climb my p4p list, and if anyone has him higher than #4 that is fine by me, but, until he challenges himself and fights (And is successful against) elite level fighters, in the weight class above his own, he will remain at #4 on my p4p list, behind Fedor, BJ and Silva.

 

They fought in 2002 and he arguably did. Razor close decision that could have gone either way. Don't underestimate Matt Serra, the dude was legit.

 

Yeah and Pulver beat BJ back then too, BJ has improved, Serra has not.

 

Let GSP fight Anderson then, see who the ***** is and then see how you say GSP lost "due to size"

 

Fedor is fat. No two ways about it. I think he is a 205 fight. He could definitely lose 25 pounds of fast and then dry out 10 pounds. In fact I think Griffin and Ortiz might be naturally bigger or more accurately more muscle. Both are taller and cut 15-20 pounds.

I'd love to see Fedor eat healthy, train harder and get down to 205. We've all seen the pictures of a young Fedor all cut. If he did it for one fight to just prove he actually is a naturally smaller man then he'd be P4P1.

Mousasi knows Fedor would play with him and Mousasi is a BAD MAN!

 

I like Matt Serra and I would never underestimate him, but BJ won that fight and I do not believe it was as close as you.

I used Matt Serra as an example of why I have BJ Penn above GSP and the logic is reasonable. It was no dis on Matt.

:thumbsup GSP wants no part of Anderson Silva, that much is obvious.

 

The size difference was a significant factor so it has to be taken into consideration.

No matter, BJ is a two-weight UFC champion and has fought Machida, at heavyweight.

Georges, great fighter though he is has never ventured out of the welterweight division and got ko'd by a guy who campaigned at 155 for almost all of his career.

Those facts simply cannot be ignored when considering the p4p rankings, especially when the fighters in question are all "Greats".

 

I think the fact that he competes and wins at heavyweight is a much bigger achievement than what he could potentially do at LHW. If he moved down and cleared the division (which he would), then people will say " hes a natural HW, bla bla bla" to try and discredit him. There is more glory attached to the hw division than any other division and being Heavyweight Champion of the world is a greater achivement just for the sheer difference in size of the competitiors. Fedor had already done enough to cement is legacy as the greatest ever and cannot be considered a lesser fighter than Anderson, GSP or BJ (who have all lost to bums.)
