Is pac-clottey a joke!?

    Okay, I've been away for a while, and I come back to find threads about Pac fighting Clottey. Is this some kind of joke? He's fighting the guy, that got beat by Cotto (It was close yeah whatever), who Pac beat, and on top of that what has Clottey done to deserve a fight with Pac? Run away from Martinez, Mosley and Williams. Does Clottey even hold a belt? This style match-up is awful, I didn't even think Roach would let this fight happen. And I'm hearing a catch weight of 144!?!? Why not fight Bradley? Marquez re-match? Anything. Just Clottey of all people. ****.

    Isit just me?

    You're complaining that Clottey is coming of a loss but then you mention JMM as a better option cmon man,at least Clottey's loss was close while Marquez didnt won a round against fraud.

    Because he needed to pick a replacement QUICKLY, for this dude who is best known for running around the ring with his right glued to his ear, potshotting an ancient Hoya with no effect whatsoever, elbowing Ricky Hattons throat, and making up **** rumors to not have to fight a legit fighter once in 10 years.

    The Clottey fight really does not make any sense. Why not wait a couple of weeks to see who wins Mosley/Berto. Why Clottey of all people? I don't understand why they would choose him.

    Come on bladerunner, you see what I'm saying. CLOTTEY!? Who cares about this fight? I'd prefere to see Pac-Marquez wouldn't you? It would be hell more entertaining and make a lot more money. You say Clotteys loss was close, but come on man, Marquez lost to Mayweather like 412 weight classes above his. Clottey dont make sense.

    A pac-JMM fight would also be at welter and like you said we all saw that Marquez doesnt belong at that weight,i wouldnt mind seeing Pac fighting JMM but i would like to see have a fight first to see if he still has it cause otherwise people will just say that Pac hes picking on a guy that lost every round against fraud.

    clottey is a top #5 WW. cotto is on the downslide while clottey who was supposed to get owned, lost a close decision. i say floyd is the real WW should be fighting Clottey, while Pac should be taking on any of the top 140lbers.

    pac-clottey would be no more of a joke than mayweather-malignaggi/campbell. now that's a joke.

    People thinking Clottey is not a credible threat to Pacquiao is amusing.

    If Pac has an icepack on his head and a KO loss on his record come the wee hours of March 14, it will be hilarious in hindsight.

    i don't see this fight as being a joke. Yes I would of rather seen Floyd/Pac, but since both camps screwwed that up, Clottey at 147 is no joke.

    I'm interested to see what Roach is going to try to do about the headbutting that Clottey is known for. will he ask for immediate DQ to protect Manny?
