Ricky Hatton has announced his return to the ring for Spring summer this year. Whilst Ricky comes up short against the very best fighters he is still one of the best junior welters today.

Looking at the competition the champions Bradley (wbo), Khan (wba), Alexander (wbc) and Urango (ibf) all have good ability , have been tested a little and have all except Alexander have defended .

There is a but coming , all look beatable , and more importantly beatable by Hatton ,

Bradley the best of the champions has done well , but was dropped twice and looked shaken by a pretty average Kendall Holt , since then Campbell and Peterson were not really top draw junior welters and were there to build a name and confidence.

Khan - Protected , simple as that . Speed to burn but very fragile .

Alexander - Still a little unknown - and apart from shopworn Corley and Witter , has mainly fought against club fighters with losing records.

Lastly Urango - Still very strong and one dimensional.

Hatton, if he has anything like the energy , balance and skills he shown against Malignaggi will beat all the above.

And please if anyone talks about his chin NONE of the above hit like the speed and power of Pacquiao, or the accuracy of Mayweather they are nowhere near , and these are the only men to beat Hatton.

I thaught he was planning to fight at Welter?

Why wouldnt he beat khan? because he beat a bum salita. Ricky would knock Khan out.

It's safe to say the Junior Welterweight division is fairly more competitive now than what it was in Ricky's reign. After two heavy defeats, I'm not sure if Ricky can, or would even want to attempt to clear up set of new and hungry 140 pounders.

Bradley is very crafty and intelligent, and I see him getting one over Ricky. And as for Khan, It seems the more time he spends with Roach, the better he gets. So by the time the two will agree to a match, you can't help but think Khan would have caught him at the perfect time.

So no, I don't think Ricky has the potential to clean up the 140 division. Instead, I see him picking up a couple of nice pay cheque against a notable name, like JMM

He'll lose a rematch to Paulie.

    Diaz will beat him.

    Campbell would probably beat him.

The only thing he should think about cleaning out is the fridge. Enjoy retirement, Rick. Promote the sport as best you can using your position, become your country's answer to DLH. :good

The only think Hatton is capable of cleaning up at this point is a heaping plate of hot wings and a glass of Guiness.

I think Hatton can beat anyone of the 140 belt holders. Will he? I don't know. It depends on how much was taken out of him after being devastated by Manny. Mentally he may not be there anymore. All the punch resistant **** is stupid. It's his mental situation that concerns me. At least with Floyd he did well before getting caught.....Loosing the way he did to PAC is serious.....If he's alright mentally he can become champion once again.

He would neither clean up a great division or a good one.

He wasnt that fast when he got knocked out by a bums jab. A bum who has been exposed twice since that fight.

No chin atall. Hatton would catch him and he would fall.

Why is Khan suddenly so well respected again. Hes been completely pampered his entire career, and beat a bum Salita in a mandatory and now everyone thinks hes the greatest in the devision.

Lose a rematch with Pauile? Are you out of your mind? Hatton put a comprehensive beating onto him. What on earth makes you think that it would be any different now? Diaz is overrated and I think Hatton knocks him out mid rounds. As for Campbell, I think that would be a good fight but Campbell is no Mayweather and i think Ricky would eventually get to him down the stretch. As we've seen before, Campbell can be knocked out.

Ricky Hatton is not cleaning anything up except the drool that runs from his mouth as he gently sleeps from yet another KO-punch. Why don't you guys get it? Hatton is a shot fighter and will be knocked out again if he fights a quality opponent. I guess you guys need to see him get damn near killed before you believe he ain't got it.
