Zab Judah on Khan

What's he say mate? i take it he wasn't singing Khan's praises.

 

Judah has an inflated view of himself disproportional to his actual standing in boxing. He's famous for losing big fights. Khan is on the way up, Judah desperately needs to get back up - it wouldn't be half as unrealistic a fight as he claims.

 

Khan has done nothing to deserve a fight with Judah. Why would zab fight him? He has everything to lose and nothing to gain. He sure as hell ain't getting a payday and a fight proves nothing. Khan been stopped before no way he can take a ful shot from a zab judah,

 

It sounded like the mere idea of Khan calling him out when Khan has very little name value in the U.S. irked him.

 

Thing is, Judah was already pretty famous before he started losing more than he won. He does have a point - at least in American markets - about being a good deal more established and celebrated than Khan.

 

Agreed, its just Zab Judah believing he is a greater boxer then he ever was, he was nothing more ok fighter of our times who will be best remembered for getting knocked out.

 

Now that is not true at all, any more than that exact statement is of Amir himself.

 

Up until Monday, Zab actually didn't know that. :yep

He kept saying "this guy ain't never won a world title or nothing..." and Rumsfeld had to correct him.

So he says "Yeah okay, he won it in what, 2009? I won my first one in 2000. Talk to me in a little while...."

 

Well yeah, in America. But I'd ask Zab one thing - what has he got lined up? Any world title fights on the horizon...?

He'd do well to find a better opponent than Khan. Maybe Khan is only bringing a belt but thats not to be sniffed at when you've lost 4 of your last 9 including all the title fights in that period.

 

I don't disagree with you, but Zab's probably in a place mentally where he feels he's already accomplished plenty, enough that he can walk away at any time anyway and still feel good about what he's done - he probably doesn't feel he needs to mess around with anything other than marquee names. That of course begs the question as to what the hell he was doing ****ing about with Ruben Galvan, Edwin Vazquez, Ryan Davis, Ernest Johnson, and Ubaldo Hernandez in between "big fights" the last few years - but maybe in his mind he's had his gimmes and now it's $$$ or bust in his twilight.

 

Blab Judah has not changed.
