You got it, these fellas need a excuse for a loss. They are not really dodging responsibility, but they need to be able to tell themselves in their own mind 'I am the best, I cant be beaten' otherwise they are not prepared properly. All the excuses just allow fighters to retain an aura of invincibility even after they are beaten.
