It is bad enough that Hopkins decided to fight RJJ after all that has happened. But to choose April 17th as the date? WTF?
Now we potentially have three fights to watch all at the same time:

PPV: Bernard Hopkins vs Roy Jones JR
Showtime: Andre Ward vs Sakio Bika/Allen Green
HBO: Lucian Bute vs UNKNOWN (looking like Miranda)

Does Hopkins really think people are going to buy this fight, especially with the competition on the same night??!?!

Maybe not where you live, but in the hood, ni99az is payin for this! Believe that ****, homey.:yep

It won't be no ****in Pac-Floyd, but don't be surprised if they do pretty well with the PPV numbers. Both of these guys (even in their rotted stage) are way more personable and marketable than any of the other guys you mentioned. :smoke

    Wait and see...:good

Froch/Kessler is on the same night aswell.

Is GBP, Hopkins and Jones that stupid and arrogant to do this?

That's likely to be much earlier though.

Well, it seems like a real stupid move.

I'm from the UK, but didn't showtime do a delayed showing with AA/Taylor? Would't they do the same thing thing with Froch/Kessler and show it just before Ward/Bika/Green?

Jones vs. Hopkins said - likely to happen on April 17th - it's not in stone yet. People jumping the gun on this one. I doubt if it happens on that date.

Reminds me of July 14, 2007 when HBO had Gatti-Gomez in NJ, Williams-Margarito in California, and Roy Jones fought Hanshaw in Biloxi.

    I won't buy Jones-Hopkins but if I could watch it I would.
