Its a frivilous lawsuit. There will be a motion to dismiss anyway. It probably will be granted.

He doesn't have a claim. Where is the harm? He backed out of a 30 million or more dollar payday, so he has not suffered any damage to his reputation. He has moved forward to fight Clottey at Cowboy stadium on PPV where his own backers expect a large crowd and a big pay day.

So where is the proof that he has suffered any damage as result of the alleged charge of defamation?

Also, when you sue someone for defamtion, the burden of proof is you to prove what was written or spoken was a willful false statement.

 

Cause and effect......the cause of the rumors stemmed from one source which was documented and released to the media. Sr and Jr did themselves in with spreading blatant lies and unfounded accusations against a fighter whom they were suppose to fight next. The guys who jumped on the band wagon in the media and other boxers are the "effect" that stemmed from the cause.

You kill the root and the plant dies. They are going after the root problem which has defamed PAC's name based on the unsubstantiated rumors that Jr and Sr decided to ignite...ultimately it stalled and then killed the fight between Floyd and Manny. For Manny to sue EVERYONE is ridicoulous.....Manny will try to make an example out of the ones who not only started the fire but threw gas on it as well....the others who are still saying PAC is on roids, peds, HGH or MSG will be dealt with if they continue to spread the lies without any proof......they will all fall back on the accusations after Floyd looses the fight with Manny in court......hopefully that may push Floyd to fight Manny in the ring where he has a better chance at winning.

I can say with complete certainty that NO Pac fans are asking themselves this boring and irrelevant question.

 

Pac's lawyer Petrocelli is already handling the lawsuit. Perhaps he may add Teddy as a defendant or simply use his comments to support their contention of damages to Pac's reputation. Why are you are so eager to jump the gun? Let's just wait and see.

 

I agree with this point of view. Teddy's comments can even be used to prove the defamatory effects of the original allegation.
