Good for him. A smart fight to take, against a guy with little power but some good skills.

Moving up to 154 isn't a bad idea for him, there isn't much there at the moment, and maybe he can secure a fight with Mayweather or a Pac rematch if he does well enough there.

I would rather fight Yuri at 154 than Cotto if I was Pacquiao. I don't see how that could ever happen.

why, is cotto going to somehow turn into superman?

he already got forced into a title defense at a catch weight once...why not again?

yuri is too tall for pac...cotto isn't

it would basically be a JMW title for pac, fighting a WW he already beat

Right, but Cotto is the naturally bigger guy and I don't think bringing Pacquiao up to 154 would be a very good idea.

There's nothing wrong. Just some butthurt kid that worries more about Arum and the drama. I'll enjoy the fight.

Miguel is a favorite of mine... so while I don't think that he has IT anymore this may be Cotto's last chance for a good payday and another title. Cotto has always looked good against light punching boxers that he can overpower. My question is can Cotto take the punch of a 154lber, even one of the caliber of Foreman?

The perfect fight for Miguel considering all.

I can see it now...Cotto beating Foreman taking his belt. Pac will fight Cotto once again for the 154lb belt only after requesting the fight be at a catchweight of 147.1 :patsch

I'm not a Manny fan and don't like his tactics, but I think the catch weight excuse doesn't fly in this case. Cotto came in as a damaged fighter, hasn't looked good since Margarito beatdown, with a poor trainer, no strategy, underestimated Manny's size, and got pummeled. Cotto, who would know if he was drained or not, should be smart enough not to put his title or participate in another catchweight fight
