I'm not a big fan of Clottey's style or his boxing skill. But, to be fair I believe he does possess some things that might give Pac some trouble. He's a pretty big and imposing welter, takes a good punch and his whole turtle shell defense could make it hard for Pac to find his mark. Just wanna hear ppls opinions on the matter.

i think his style is tailor made for pac

pac has problems with skilled counter punchers, not flat-footed, low work rate type fighters

i do not think Clotty can do anything Manny has not seen before. What worry me some is the size. Clottey known for being 170 pounds on night of fight. That make him tought fight for Manny who will be fighting much larger man again.
Clottey turtle defense leave his belly exposed so Manny will land good body punches.

Absolutely. This is the first guy he's fought in over a year who actually has a decent right. Watch for him to constantly touch Pac with that lead right.

I think he's referring to Cotto. But, Cotto looked small compared to Clottey when they were in the fight.

Clottey's style gives everybody problems. Its difficult to hit him clean and he can find your defense holes.

Clottey hasn't got the power to knock him out and he doesn't have the work rate to beat him on points.

    Pac wins UD.

Good point I can see this situation playing out. Clottey with his gaurd up most of the fight losing on points.

If Clottey can somehow up his punch output and better his stamina then he has a great chance... but thats highly unlikely...You cant teach an old dogs new tricks!

Cotto didn't expose Margarito's body either.

    But Mosley did.

Margorito didnt have his blocks in his hands either!:good

Seriously, that still doesnt prove anything...Cotto is known for his body attack and didnt have success...I see your point and I understand that styles make fights but I dont see him getting to Clottey's boddy without getting hit back.

Clottey's style may give Manny trouble, but compared to Mayweather's? It is a walk in the park.

I think it is less about his fighting style and more about his qualities as a fighter work rate, ability to close, stamina, etc... As far as his style goes? Clottey turtles up and doesn't do much. He is ON/OFF. No real in between. If Manny is foolish enough to not get away after he throws a flurry against the defense then he is going to get ripped up. Still I can see Manny bouncing in, throwing a ton, bouncing out, Clottey dropping his guard shaking his head "NO", Manny circling and repeating.

    Arum is no fool.
