of heavyweights, sure, but neither is really top 100 of all fighters ever, although thinking of it they might be able to slip into the top 75 or so.

 

Wlad has the best heavyweight Jab since holmes.
If you don't respect heavyweights who can jab, you won't respect Wlad.

I think the argument is that Vitali wasn't knocked down let alone knocked out in the real definition of being KTFO. For the record Wladimir has been hurt but he always beat the count.

Not saying they weren't good, but I personally feel Wladamir has the best heavyweight jab since Holmes. Not everyone will agree with me, but it's my opinion.

Exactly. Best Heavyweight jab since Holmes & that's saying a lot since the list would include other great jabbers such as Lewis.

 

If you went on how good a guy was in his prime then guy's like Vitali, Tyson, Bowe and even Ibeabuchi would be ranked higher than they are on an ATG list. The fact is, that is a ridiculous way to rank fighters and relies on a lot of speculation and assumption. Wlad's resume is significantly better in my eyes for him to rank ahead of Vitali

Don't make me laugh, Bowe's jab wasn't in Wladimir's league or he wouldn't have gotten out jabbed against Golota, who also had a good jab.

True. Vitali did comeback after a 4 year retirement & win the WBC belt back without a tuneup. That's never been done. Vitali has one of the highest KO percentages too. He's also one half of the only brothers to hold portions of the HW title at the same time. In history. The problem is the other half is his brother so that adds to his legacy as well.

 

Its very hard to place them when they are still active. IMO they will be greatly appreciated years after they hang em up. What they accomplished and continue to accomplish will be much move evident when they are gone
